Well my whole point is that the fourth line needs to be AS-IS from what was in the playoffs. I feel like Arnott is too slow.... and I don't see a need for Darche. Tedenby, Butler fill the holes.
I don't care if no one agrees with me... but the fourth line and the furious forcheck is what put the Devils in the finals. It requires a lot of speed and hard work. I only see Arnott, Darche, Janssen, and Barch slowing the whole thing down.
Arnott and Darche score goals. Janssen and Barch (and Tedenby) don't. I agree on Butler helping to fill the holes.
Petr Sykoras going to have to sneak onto the ice during the scrimmage, and get a hatty again.
I'm wondering if Sykora really is wating around to see what Lou will do after camp.
It seemed like from all the buzz before the MOU was signed, that he'd sign somewhere right away.
Hasn't shown up for anyone's camp yet, though. And he'll definitely, definitely need to get most of camp in if he's going to play this year.
Normally you can spot a watered down quote right away. Not so easy with these quotes
Not sure if DeBoer is seriously considering him or if he's just complimenting his abilities. Would be cool to see him in the NHL day one but I'm not sure if he's good enough to be a poor man's Mike Rupp yet.
Fact: Arnott scored 17 goals last season in 72 games.
Fact: Carter scored 4 goals last season in 65 games.
Fact: Darche scored 5 goals last season in 61 games on one of the worst teams in the NHL.
Fact: Bernier scored 1 goal last year in 32 games.
Fact: Tedenby scored 1 goal last year in 43 games.
I agree with you here.
Tedenby isn't magically going to contribute 10-20 goals over a season. He's played almost 100 games now and hasn't shown much growth at this level.
Extrapolating performance from a hot 4th line is insane too.
Well maybe he is going to stick around for five games...just long enough to get Henrique back.
I would be totally ok with this. Test drive Matteau on the big stage while we're short a forward or two anyway.
