Well...I think I'd drown myself in vodka if we ended up with the 25th overall pick after last year's finish. But Gauthier is pretty good value there.

All of which are prospects we hope turn into a starter. What we don't have is a prospect who could turn into a #1C.

I wonder how many times you used the draft simulator to get your favourite team the 2nd overall pick. haha.

"28th overall.... crap"
"23rd overall..... ughhhh this sucks.."

30 trys later....

"2nd overall.... WHOOOOAAA! that'll do!"

-posts mock draft.

I don't see how the pens would take Shinkaruk over Barkov

Barkov is too low, Nichushkin is too high, JC Lipon will never make it to the first round just not that special of a player and not much of a safe pick. Curtis Lazar also too low you can't just look at the statistics for this guy he's much better than the numbers say.

the only 2 players that i could see being taken over Seth Jones and not many would be surprised are MacKinnon and Barkov.

For the record...

We have three picks in the 1st round.. and if get anywhere close to the hosing you just gave us, there will be consequences. I think you really picked Columbus 2nd and just switched us out right.. quantity over quality, yeah that's the ticket

I think the point was pretty accurate. Toronto needs a #1C and a #1G. At that point in the draft you have a far better chance of drafting one of those and it isn't the center.

That's just a big list of goalies who could all end up being career backups. I don't think at that spot it's a bad idea to draft the top ranked goalie in the draft. Add some quality rather than just grabbing a ton of goalies from anywhere you can find them and hope one of them turns into a top notch starting goaltender.
