It HAD to be BS since Despres is actually at camp.

actually DK is usually pretty good with his sources within the Pens & as a columnist that is his job to stir up some ****. don't agree with that mentality But that is what a columnists job has become

Glad Tangradi is in good shape, probably his last shot at making this team and sticking to it

One thing no one can really question with Tangradi is his dedication physically. He has come into the last 3 camps in impeccable shape from what I've read.

He just needs to let go of whatever jitters / ghosts it is that's keeping him back and get to his game. I think he'll be given a fair chance this camp so it's really up to him.

I guess what I was saying is that the excuse if Despres is returned to WBS will be that 'they were trying to lite a fire under his ***, but they never inteded to keep him up, so the report was true'.

EDIT: It's BS of course, but the only way there's no trying to tap dance out of it is IF Despres stays and someone else is moved/exposed to waivers.

Strait and Bortuzzo are not on one ways but have to go thru waivers to be sent back down.

it's Not jitters or anything else he isn't a good Skater & if you can't skate you can't play in Bylsma's system

Since you are an expert on skating, why don't you break down the fundamentals that makes Tangradi a bad skater.

I'll then have fun picking it apart.

We don't really need anymore evidence than we already have.

He claimed the Pens brass were upset with his dedication, then gives us a quote from Dupuis about how hard Despres was working out with him over the Summer.

As far as on ice, anyone who has watched Despres this season and last knows he has improved a lot over last season.

There hasn't been a competent Pens beat guy who understands the game and reports it with integrity since Tom McMillian left.

Could improve: Tangradi is always working on improving his foot speed, and finishing net front chances

But go on

Simon Despres opens up paired with Kris Letang.
"Simon, we are disappointed in your lack of dedication, so you're not invited to training camp"

*Arrives at training camp and gets a look with the Pens #1 defenseman.

Sounds like goalies Brad Thiessen and Jeff Zatkoff and winger Steve MacIntyre made it through waivers unclaimed.
Looks like Mac made it through after all...

Thomas Hickey waived today by LA. I'll be curious to see if someone takes a chance on him.

Hickey's got nothing outside of draft pedigree, I'll be surprised if he gets a chance.

Ryan Clowe, Shane Doan, Ryan Malone, Dustin Penner. All slower than Tangradi. You're the one who knocked his skating ace.
