I hate when I go onto another team forum that I like (Jets) and here nothing but crap about the Canucks. This one guy always says he hates the Canucks and it's annoying.

Once upon a time I was a Bruin fan.
I don't think I can like another team besides the Canucks, though I have a small soft spot for the Habs.

I live in Winnipeg. I can't help but love the Jets. Tried not being a Canucks fan but it didn't work. Love them too and have since I was 8.

That's why I don't bother with the general NHL forums at all.

Bought the Walking Dead video game for $30 at EB Games, only played the first episode but I really like it, It's like a choose your own adventure book incorporated into a video game, it's not a FPS, it's more of an RPG with a story that pans out through your decision. It's based off the comic books, but I've already ran into Glenn and Herschel so far. Really excited to keep playing and carving my path through the game.

I know the feeling. When the Jets came back I decided I would follow them as my second nhl team but I can't go on that forum. Way too much canuck hate.

Ya I got to play through it a couple of weeks ago and find it better than the show.

Which I don't get. We aren't even in the same conference. Calgary and Edmonton fans hating on the Canucks... I get it. Winnipeg fans? Their team doesn't even register on our (Canucks fans) radar screen. I would have thought it would be the opposite case, with several Canucks players getting their start with the Moose. It must be a jealousy thing, because you would think they would focus more energy hating on their prairie rivals in Edmonton and Calgary.

FYI since some of you live in Burnaby. The Metrotown Future Shop in Station Square is closed permanently because they're tearing down that mall.

It's an excellent game that only gets better with each episode. I think it's the first time I've truly cared for a character in a video game (actually maybe second after Planescape: Torment).

The writing is a million times better than the show which is kind of sad given the budget for each.

Another really good RPG video game is the Dragon Age series. It might not be appealing if you're not that into fantasy, but Dragon Age Origins had an extremely complex plot that changes quite a bit depending on your choices(moreso than TWD, imo). There was also a lot more character development in everyone around you as well, and depending on how they developed, the story would unfold differently. The only flaw is that your character doesn't actually "talk" when selecting a response.

In Dragon Age 2 they changed it, although depending on what kind of character you had made based on previous choices, what you actually said was a bit different to reflect your "personality", although I didn't like it as much as Dragon Age Origins in terms of character depth and choice. Combat was improved significntly, imo, to be much more exciting than just purely strategic as it was in Origins.

When are they closing?
Any savings, like a closing sale?

The TWD game is amazing - but did you guys encounter the glitch problems that came on the X-Box 360 edition? I bought it for my wife's brother for Christmas, and it jumps/skips all over the place, which makes some of the interactive challenges - er - challenging. I read it was a common issue, wondering if a fix has been announced...

I love Dragon Age.
Everything Vankiller Whale said is spot one.
Every character has a different back story, and you can make different choices, which affects the outcome of each arc, and ultimately, who helps you in the end of the game.
There is just so much replay value in this one.

Dragon Age 2 is nowhere as good as the 1st game.
Everything seemed water downed, it had a lot more bugs than the 1st one, and the writing was not as strong.
The main thing that bugged me was the autonomy you had in the 1st game is really stripped down, but that is because of the way the developers decided to tell the story in flashback.
As Vankiller Whale said, the combat is a lot better, and it is definitely a good game, but it is a huge let down from the 1st one, in terms of sales and reviews, that the developers kind of abandoned it after only 4 DLCs, compared to the 8 in the previous game.

Right now, Superstore is trying to get rid of stock.
If anyone wants it, they can get the ultimate version for $15.
That one has Dragon Age Origin, the expansion Awakening, and all the DLCs.
Dragon Age 2 is also $15 at many place.
In essence, you can get the series for $30.

Also, I learned that Dragon Age 3 is coming.
Hopefully, they improve upon it, and make it better than 2.

I did get the disc version, which is the one that seems to be plagued with issues.

Can you download it to the X-Box? Or just onto your PC?

I downloaded it from Live when they had that Christmas sale.

All games seems to have the download onto hard drive version.
Try that option.
It will be about 2 to 3 gig though, so just a headsup.

Anyone else had trouble going to school/work today?

The city didn't salt a lot of key streets and many of them were temporarily closed. Because of that some bus routes like the 41 and 43 weren't running at all and others like the 25 were extremely late.

There were about 20 buses lined up along 41st Ave (near Main) - that was at 8 AM which meant no one had done anything about the ice for over two hours.

*sigh*

Was supposed to be at school (no classes but lab work) for 5 hours but will be putting it off due to snow and lack of cleanup here.

Took work off today weeks ago which worked out nicely.
