I think so too. It's weird to me that he's not practicing with the team even if they intend to pass him through waivers.

Wild, totally unwarranted crazy butt crackpot theories:
  • It's just a coincidence that he's "tweaked something"
  • He failed the physical and so the Oilers did this as a response
  • He was originally intended to be in this trade, but Dallas ultimately didn't want him
  • They intend to pass him through waivers but they want to wait until after camp to do it so that other teams have finished picking up FAs first (but if this is the case, why not run him with the rest in camp anyway?)

Is this the reason Peckham isn't on the ice?

He's not a great player but he's a lot more experienced than Peckham. I'll take the player with experience.

Better than Sutton too, I'd say. Good depth move

Well in 6 more games Fistric did have like 130 more hits.

With the most likely loss of Sutton, this move gives us that crusher on the backend we needed. Great addition by Tambo.

Fills a whole we've had since Matt Greene left.

Fistric will never lead you to the cup, but you can't win the cup without guys like Fistric!

Well done steve!

I can't believe Tambo is actually addressing needs. And he didn't screw it up.

My own baseless speculation is that Peckham came in out of shape, just because he's had some problems with that in the past and there would probably be even less motivation to stay in shape with an extended lockout. But who knows, hopefully he's going somewhere with a prospect and a pick in return for a decent player.

Nice move, I like Fistric and a 3rd is nothing for a player that will fit into our lineup right away.

Big physical shutdown D-man with a decent hockey IQ and puck mobility. Great 5-6 D-man who I know as well As others here that we as fans have been after for a while now. Only difference was the asking price Stars fans demonstrated. A 1st plus was the general consensus in the past. Tambellini fleece the former Flamer JN on this one.
