Good trade.

Fistric is a UFA and the end of the season...so he could walk.

Great move by Edmonton.

Dallas looks soft these days.

That D isn't that bad, they just need a good goalie behind them and i don't think DD is that guy

Something tells me Dallas really wants either Mackinnon or Jones lol. Better to tank 48 games for an elite prospect than 82. And they have one of the lowest fan turn outs anyway.

win-win

Although, Jamie Benn was drafted in the 5th round. Who knows what kind of talent they'll pull with a 3rd in a deep draft.

Gives the Oilers that grit they want on their blueline without sacrificing playing ability (Sutton/Peckham)

Solid move

I'm actually kinda feeling jealous of Edmonton.

This sucks.

Wife and kids live in Edmonton year round.... Highly likely he just gets Sutton's money.

Most oiler fans have wanted him for awhile

Oilers d is now back logged

Sutton (could be retiring)
Whitny
Smid
Fistic--all fourare UFA after this year

Schultz
schultz
Petry
Peckhem
Potter

I think theo is done in edmonton

What are you suggesting?

Yes roster space as in you have a kid in Dillon who is known to be ready to come up and Fist is on his way out so why not make room for your kid?

It happens all the time.

Sorry, it happens all the time.

Everything depends on if Whitney can recover from his injuries. There was a period where he was looking like a legitimate top pairing D-man before he got hurt. This lineup looks a lot better to me.

Whitney-Schultz
Smid-Petry
Schultz-Fistric

Agreed. And about 3 years for development and depth. Maybe 2.

Peckham will likely be traded. Maybe in a package. Many teams are looking to add grit and defensive depth.

Can any Stars fans tell, does Fistric play both LD and RD, just LD?

Add to it prospects like Klefbom and Marincin its going to be much stronger if these guys continue to develop well.

Does he play the right side or left? I know he shoots left.

N.Schultz will probably have to play RD if Fistric only plays LD

edit: beaten by the speed of speeds
