Thats right. U missed my point, If the bottom 3 this year Ottawa, Peterborough and Erie are grouped closely together and it goes down to the wire, Day cant sit there and say yes or no in the last week or 2 of the season depending on where a certain team finishes. Day must say yes to all of those teams for the application to move forward.
They wont give Day ES to only go to one team. Its any team or dont apply. Mcdavid would have gone anywhere and that was known months before March 21st.
What prevents him for agreeing to report to get the ES status and then refusing based on what team picks him? Worst case he goes back into the draft the following year, no?

Not wise to attract that kind of negative publicity

I don't think he would be eligible to go into the draft again. If he wants to play in the OHL he would have to deal with the team that picks him his options would be 1. report 2.be a defected player and try and get traded or 3.find another league not in the CHL to play in.
Defarius will not be selected in the first round. I think the 3rd is where he should go. He may go late 2nd which I believe is too high for him still. He completely avoids physical contact and will be out of his element in the OHL. People may fall in love with his feet, ok go for it then. I see him producing like Desousa does or doesnt depending on how u look at it. Mapleleaf979 and Desousa have the same amount of OHL points this year...0.

Their only similarities are their skating. DeSousa is much tougher. DeFarias needs to grow for one thing and hasn't developed at all this year baby sitting the relatively weak bunch of d-men on the Marlies. DeSousa did produce very well in the Under 17 when given a chance to play, I hardly think ML979 would have.

Agreed, the skating is the most similar. Defarius skating techniques are top notch and a joy to watch his feet. Defarius is smarter in my opinion. Desousa has stretches of playing physical, imo. Im not writing off Desousa, just to clarify. He needs more ice in my opinion to develop. I also think he played his best all season long at the U17 tourney. Agreed ML979 would be benched and being filling the water bottles after his first shift @ the U17.

This time I have to agree with you Mapleleaf, as much as it pains me. LOL

Agree to disagree.
You seem to be trigger happy to quickly express your dislike for this 15 year old kid IMO it's personal
1. Ottawa - Sean Day
2. Peterbourough- Zach Werenski (Trouble with guys reporting, may look at local boy M.Stephens)
3. Erie- Matt Spencer (Top Ontario boy, incredible skater, puck rushing Dmen who logs lots minutes)
4. Kingston - Dylan Strome (young centerman with Bennett and Watson, dont think they go D here)
5. Saginaw - Luke Kirwan (Try and get the US boy to play south of the border)
6. Mississauga- Travis Konecny
7. North Bay- Jordan Greenway (Will the american boy report here? Doubt it)
8. Sudbury- Brett Mckenzie (very complete player, competes, excellent playmaking skills, board work)
9. Sault ste Marie- Nikita Korostelev (great pairing with McCann)
10. Plymouth- Lawson Crouse
11. Guelph- Mitchell Stephens (stock falling, his feet/hands could dominate every shift, lacks ambition)
12. Niagara- Cole Mayo
13. Sarnia- Troy Henley (needs to work on his conditioning, at times appears lazy, lots of tools)
14. Oshawa- Connor Schlichting (He will not make it past London, who like him alot)
15. Belleville- Blake Speers (Maybe the fastest guy in this draft, big ice suits him)
16. Kitchener- Connor Walters(very complete Dman, Battle and board work is incredible)
17. Owen Sound- Garrett MCfadden (home town boy, born in OS)
18. Barrie- Ethan Szypula
19. London- Colton White
Without Day, who will not report to Peternorough until they get their ducks in order. Brian Kilreay a BIG fan of Day. Without Yan, who is born in Alaska, deemed ineligible will play US NTDP. Sources from OHL indicate that Nikita Korostelev will not be eligible. Those the only 3 in doubt IMO.
Tough decision for Kirwin, Werenski and Greenway to choose between OHL and US NTDP.
I think Stephens could (2 months to be consistent) be a top pick but I feel he is #3 centre available unless moved to the wing. His spot depends on the selection of other teams.
1. Ottawa F/ D.Strome or D /Matt Spencer - effect Kingston pick
2. Peterborough F/ Travis Konecney ( Petes big on him ) or do they go local ?
3. Erie D/ zach werenski if they decide D. If not they will take Stephens
3. Kingston F/ Strome if Ottawa doesnt. they may take Stephens
5. Saginaw D/ matt Spencer, just traded for 96 Bratina at Centre
6. Mississauga F/ Luke Kirwan BPA
7. North Bay F/ Brett McKenzie BPA
8. Sudbury F/ Lawson Crouse BPA
9. Soo F/ Blake Speers Local
10. Plymouth F/ Mitchell Stephens BPA
11. Guelph D/ Troy Henley
12. Niagara F/ Micheal Davies
13. Sarnia D/ Cole Mayo ---- if Yan is in he will go to Sarnia
14. Oshawa D/ Connor Schlicting
15. Belleville D/ Josh Defarias - Skating, just loaded up on fwds. 3 D graduating
16. Kitchener D/ Connor Walters
17. Owen Sound D/ Garret McFadden
18. Barrie D/ Tyler McArthur ( local)
19. London D Peski
Thanks wingman, these mocks I love, I don't get to see much of the top rated players so to see some fellow posters mocks I really enjoy

Its only based on honest critique's. Its never personal or meant to hurt anyone. I point out alot of positives, unfortunately the negatives things can jump out loud. These 15 yr old kids are fantastic human beings first and foremost, all of them, this is hockey the best game in the world, not personal flaws. Should most people wait until OHL to critique a player? I think there is a certain age and I think Minor Midget is fair ground. I never say a negative critique about a bantam player. Im not breaking any news by saying what Im saying, nor does anyone have to agree with it.

Agree in other words if any of our hockey reviews carried any creditability we would sign our names to our assessments and not hide behind our computers.
