Kurtis could provide some help on the PP unit. Other than that, he doesn't offer much now days. But still better than signing Barker, or most of the other FA d-men out there.

He could help the Flyers AHL affiliate but I doubt anything else will happen

He is a terrific guy by all accounts, and I wish him luck as well, but...

Realistically, somebody needs to stick a fork in him, because he's done. I don't think the Wild had him out on the ice for a single defensive faceoff in his two months here, and he is a DEFENSEMAN. He had the most sheltered minutes on one of the worst teams in the league. The only reason he was playing at all was because the Wild desparately needed warm bodies.

Why TB didn't take another chance on him has me scratching my head.

apparently he spent all summer with a physiotherapist which he claims greatly helped his leg. he claims it has changed the way he plays the game as well as how he is living his day-to-day life. he also claims that his leg is just as good if not better then before his injury. i guess we won't know for sure until we see him in action if it truly made a difference. either way i don't think he'll be playing for more then a couple weeks (until some of are guys get back) assuming no more injuries. plus he'll most likely be playing few ES minutes and just serve as a pp specialist.

When he was on the Ducks, I never once saw his famed "Big shot" or use his body at all. He was brutal at the blue line on the powerplay and many of his mistakes directly resulted in goals. It was a joyous day when he was traded.

Good guy, I'm sure, but I saw nothing about his play that was impressive.

Hope he comes back for Philly big time I guess.
