Blue scores first, Adam to Flynn!

White answers back with a classic Vanek redirect!

Sekera looks solid, moving with a lot of jump. His wrister sets up the deflection in front.

Nobody stands out as bad so far, but it hasn't been the cleanest game in the world. Vanek-Hodgy-Pominville had some great pressure, then passed it back to Enroth after a minute or so of zone time.

Not bad. Had a real chance at a goal but hit the iron. Moving well but a small sample size so far.

Leino-Grigs-Ott have looked ok. Grigorenko smoked a wrister off the left post past Miller, Otter threw a little elbow on Foligno during a shift later, they have some good zone presence. MG looking the best of the three.

Barnaby said Hodgson was the best player in the 1st along with Vanek. Grigorenko looked real good but will be a learning curve in the d zone.

so mostly as expect Grigorenko needs work in the Dzone, Vanek playing well, apparently Hodgson playing surprisingly well

Who was at fault for the 2-on-1 goal and who was defending it? Did Miller do his usual pout after the redirection?

McNabb takes a penalty. Grigs gets a partial break and Miller holds the far post

Grigs with some nifty stick handling in alone, but Miller stood him up.

Hodgson doesn't surprise me. An NHLer who is in gameshape should be tearing it up. It's good to hear Vanek seems to be ready to go as well, though.

Weber-McNabb. Nabber turned it over.
