Ratto: Specifically, what will you do with the penalty kill?
McLellan: One of the things we did with Larry and Jim when they showed up is, we didn't give them any information ... we just said, "Here, look at it!" They spent a lot of time, and they came back to us with some observations, some ideas and maybe some fixes. One of them is being a little more aggressive in what we call go-points, or situations on the ice where we can attack more rather than being passive. They'll implement a system, and we'll support it with the right players, I believe. We're not looking to hit home runs - singles throughout the game on the penalty kill will do us just fine.
Reebok's 2013 catalog has one last surprise for us. Like the Hurricanes and Canadiens, the SAN JOSE SHARKS are apparently looking at new or modified home and road sweaters for the fall. And also like the Canes, the black third jersey seems to be sticking around.
This is unexpected because the Sharks just got new uniforms (and a new logo) back in 2007. That leads me to think the changes — if true — won't be significant. So what could they be?
