Pageau was a 4th rounder. You meant Filatov.

So was Grant I mirrored you in ways you can't even imagine. I lived your life, I thought your thoughts, I loved your lovers (sorry). I became you in every conceivable way. Questioning the contents of my post is akin to questioning the very fiber of your being. Marinate on that.

Sign first, even if you have to overpay SLIGHTLY.
Go to the cupboard when a prospect FORCES your hand.
Trade for PROVEN players when the options are limited.

Most of the time, this is my order of preference for asset management.

I think Murray would be more interested in adding draft picks for this draft rather than trading them away. He could move some of the depth roster players for picks to create more room for some of the prospects.

Unfortunately, I think we might be at step 3. Might be. Depends how our young guys pan out.

I tell you though, I'd love to have Rozsival on the team right now. That guy just SAT in the UFA pile for like MONTHS. He was clearly the best UFA remaining for the longest time. I know there was no reason to think we'd need him, as our defence was looking full before the Cowen & Lundin injuries, but I wish Chicago hadn't beaten everybody to the punch and he was still avail post-lockout.

We don't need Teubert, Petrovic or any other prospect because we have plenty of those, we need a veteran which we don't have plenty of.

Imagine trying to trade Foligno for a decent defender now.

Don't even know if we'd have gotten a methot this week.

Chicago could be a good trade partner, if they want a goalie(Bishop) for Leddy or a prospect for Hjalmarsson. I'm not saying that's what they're worth, just examples. We could trade Anderson(around the deadline) for a little extra because it seems like they don't trust their goalies.

Bishop for Leddy would be a solid base for a deal. Though, we'd have to add to that deal and Leddy really isn't the type of player we're looking for. I'm a fan of his though.

We should sign an all-star Swedish soccer player. Seems like the best we can get right now, plus it would probably lead to a great spin-off.

Christoph Shubert is playing in the German league, 18 points in 30 games. He'd only be 30 years young.

Just sayin'.

Isn't Leddy a bit small for a defenseman?

Why do we need more veterans?

We have a lot of rookie/inexperienced defenseman, I guess I mean experienced NHL defenseman(3+years experience)

He's a Brian Campbell type. Only about 5'11-6'0 but he's a great skater. We have plenty of puck movers, we're needing a shutdown type with some experience.

David Schlemko.

Would be perfect and wouldn't cost too much.

Is Kent Huskins signed by anyone yet? If not I would take a chance on him being the 6/7 D.

Smid is my dream defenceman to add to the Sens. Would fit our system perfectly.

Yeah, that is what I was thinking. We have Wiercioch and Ceci to go with Karlsson, in terms of puck movers.
