So...hopefully not too far OT given that there's been some talk of the Oilers:
What the hell happened to MPS's development?

Even though this isn't new information, prepare yourself for "Luongo wants out, Gillis has to trade him for whatever he is offered! You have to accept our crap offers!!!"

Luongo obviously had a beef with that tweet, here's his response-

Pass it to Bulis ‏@passittobulis

Luongo tells us the quote lost some context in translation. Not "get me out of here" so much as "I don't see myself here long-term".
Edit: Also, latest from LebRun:http://espn.go.com/blog/nhl/post/_/i...n-left-to-wait

Nothing really new in it.

I think based on that last twitter feed that Luongo might be getting a bit ancy. Maybe that will compell other teams to up the ante.

The Phoenix blogger there suggested the deal with Toronto should be:

Clarke MacArthur, Tyler Bozak and Stuart Percy for Roberto Luongo, Manny Malhotra a 2nd round pick and a 6th round pick
I honestly don't think people outside the Northwest, Colorado and Minnesota watch the Canucks at all.

Imagine if Luongo was a Leaf. Their fans and media would be asking for something like Kesler, Edler + 2 - 1sts because he's a franchise goalie on a good cap hit and blah blah blah

I hope he doesn't go to the Leafs. That team is full of garbage. TSN guys are saying TOR is reluctant to pull the trigger because they'd have to give up Bozak? Really?!

I would. We don't need another tweener that we already have too many of.

I wonder if Tim Connolly is a better fit than Bozak? He's better suited for the 2nd PP unit and would hold virtually no value in the deal, other than dumping cap...

The Canucks could be hard pressed to score goals. Who would produce more offense in Vancouver, Bozak or Connolly?

I think Daymond Langkow is a better fit considering we don't have to give up Luongo to get him.

I would be fine with MacArthur or Connolly if we were also getting Gardiner.
But since it's very unlikely (according to Nonis), I have no interest in them.

They both would make negligible differences to a Schroeder and Raymond.

Better off to wait.

Also Kulikov has still not reported to Panthers camp and is in Russia trying to get a contract worked out still...

Connolly would. There's really no potential upside there but at least you know what you're getting a guy that can make plays as a 2C and has average about 0.5 assists per game over the last 3 seasons.

The point remains that neither Bozak nor Connolly are worth being the centrepiece of a deal though.

No interest in any of the Leafs' trash? There is a reason Toronto perpetually sucks... Gardiner is really the only piece we'd want... All the other names mentioned are basically throw ins.

I want to say Connolly but he is just so soft and injury prone that I would go Bozak.

Look no farther than TOR's own choice of who to suit up next to Kessel.
