Hosting a post game show in Winnipeg can't be easy when every caller knows more about hockey than the host, guests, players, GM, coach, scouting staff....
Got a laugh last year when some guy named Harold, Howard, Hank or something from Elmwood or EK called in after every game (usually sounded drunk) suggesting they trade just about every player on the team.
I dunno there's another caller from River Heights who is hilarious to listen to. I think his name is Gregory
EDIT: I actually like Rick Ralph. I think its unfortunate that he has to deal with morons who call in. Not an easy job politely informing people that they have no idea what their talking about.
He does a good job moving things along. That said, I'm not overly critical of media generally.
Bullies? Nah..I can take that. s1g doesn't sound like he has all his dogs barking though...has me mixed up with someone else.
I like Rick "Not Unwell" Ralph. I also agree with other posters here, his time spent doing post-game shows must be challenging. If I were him, I'd have a hard time not laughing on the air at what some callers say. For example, one guy asked him if it were true the Jets were trading for Jonathan Toews in exchange for Nik Antropov and Andrew Ladd.
I also listen to the Rona Round Table frequently, I think it's great.
Ralph, what was up with hosting the show by yourself today? The rona one table?
Well there will be more of that going forward. The other guys are back to their old jobs now that the NHL is back. They'll join me for segments here and there. The Rona Round Table moves back to the pregame show. Hustler will join me on game days. That's about all I can share at this point.

So no radio show from 11am-1pm anymore? If thats the case that sucks.
Also, talk about this awful game card idea TSNE is forcing on season ticket holders. I'm one and I think its an terrible idea. I just assumed receiving season tickets was part of being a season ticket holder

The 11-1 show will continue, but it will be little different than the lockout version. If the Jets get bounced from the playoffs, it will go back to being the Stanley Cup Power Hour like it was in the spring. Jim Ludlow will be on H and L tomorrow afternoon. We're working on getting someone from TNSE to join us and give us a run down. Right now all I'm hearing is some angry people. Off the top of my head, I think folks can get the tickets printed out, it just costs $100, which is likely the cost of color printing and the paper stock that is used. (just a guess of mine)

very cool. welcome aboard rick. hopefully the some of the wilder natives don't drive you away, though if you can handle the callers you get, this should be a cake walk.

Loved the lockout coverage. In a weird way, i think i'll miss tuning in at noon to find out the lastest with the lockout.
