Good to hear. He's definitely the longest of the long shots that I still want to succeed even though he'll probably just get sent back down once camp's done.

The Bulldogs have also signed forward Riley Armstrong and defenceman Mark Isherwood to Professional Try-Out Contracts.

I'm surprised they even called up him. After he showed up out of shape at training camp, I thought he would remain in Utah for the rest of the season. However, he might just be with Hamilton for a few days.

Seems like they even took the time to watch Schultz in Utah because those two players were also playing there. Armstrong (Colby's brother) could be a decent addition to team. He has played over 400 games in the AHL but he was stucked in the ECHL in part due to the veteran rule.

I'd be interested to see if Schultz will dress during the road trip. I really hope that Desjardins got the message so the coach can go back to putting him in net. Pateryn should be getting closer and Palushaj should be back soon since he's been cleared for contact.

Why wouldn't Schultz be dressed ?

Dogs will be missing:
Dumont, Gallagher, Blunden, and Leblanc.

Might even be more forwards I could be missing.

He's probably better than Stortini.

Maybe he got back in shape like Fortier did (but for different reasons). Too bad he didn't put up many points down there.

I thought Leblanc, Blunden, Holland were just going up on the 17th. Even without them the Dogs have 19 skaters. So if they were sending a message to Schultz he might not dress since they should have an extra body if Pateryn is good to go and everyone else dresses. Haven't heard if Palushaj will play on the road trip.

Last I heard he was garbage by ECHL standards, so I wouldn't get your hopes up. Maybe he put himself together since then because he was serviceable by the end of last year.

Lefebvre will probably love him though, maybe he can play with Stortini on the first line.

That's a hilariously lousy line up. I hope the other AHL teams are having the same problem with training camp.

I thought Schultz was working hard, drew a penalty going to the net, at least in what I saw as I turned it off some point in the 2nd as that was just painful to watch.

Avtsin gets an assist to tie it up tonight...

His reward will no doubt be more pressbox time on Saturday when the regulars are back.
