Although I would want to have Murray I would also like to keep Kristo. He used to just be a meh prospect that was not dominating the NCAA. Last time I checked he was 3rd in NCAA scoring. We would like to see what he can do at a pro level. But not a bad proposal !

I don't think Habs would care about Mashinter or McLaren... although I think they're better than say Hagel and Stortini, the Bulldogs would still have to move those two to make room. Assuming it's a contract #s move, at least the two current Bulldogs tough guys are on AHL deals, I believe, so moving them down wouldn't be impossible.

Anyway, it's basically Kristo and Weber for a Murray rental? I don't think this is the right season for the Habs to rent Murray. He's an intriguing option for our D, but unless the Habs show by the trade deadline that a) they're a playoff team, and b) hardrock D is still a desired addition, then there's no logic in paying a prospect premium to acquire Murray. Sign him in the summer to replace Bouillon, keep Kristo.

it is an odd trade
I personally wouldn't mind seeing something along the lines of Murray and Clowe for Cole + prospect/pick
I know Cole's CBA situation(whining), but at the very least Cole would provide some speed and a few more goals for this season. Clowe would be a much better leader on and off the ice for Montreal.

There's no point in trading for Cole since he'd probably retire if he was traded here.

Not the worst proposal in the world but we have no use for Weber. We are also losing too much grit for my liking. Thanks, but no thanks.

Montreal would like to keep Kristo except if he doesnt want to sign at the end of this season... On the other hand, Murray brings what we miss in our bottom pairing, how would NSH 2nd+ Weber sound?

haven't seen that anywhere, let alone the fact that he was never brought up for any part of camp....so i'm taking this info as false since there is no source.

I still believe Kristo is going to be a very good two-way 25 goal scorer for habs. no deal
