I really love how my (heh) norwegian boys are doing these days, if Haugen maintains his stats as they are now, he'll be in the high end of all the goalies in the league, while playing for a struggeling team. Zuccarello also looks more dangerous than I've ever seen him look, and his point production looks like it'll pick up, along with his increased time on ice. Thoresen is a beast like always. Can't wait for the WC to start!

I was just wondering what you guys thought about Alexander Pankov, playing for Ufa. From the games I saw I was quite impressed, but I see he's never played any international games for Russia's youth teams. And by impressed, I don't mean he looked world class, but really good nonetheless.

he was one of the candidates for Bragin's team, but got cut, if I am not mistaken.

Jokerit co-owner Harkimo was quoted as saying Jokerit won't sell Filppula or goalie Kilpeläinen because they'd lose all credibility and chances of success. Apparently the KHL clubs first offer is 300K euros that usually ends up at 500K or one million.

Without Osipov and Petruzalek Amur lead 5-1 against Neftekhimik, who need every point to make the PO's ..... What's that?

Great game in Prague. I can feel tension in the air. Props to Slovan fans.

Lev should totally bench Stepanek before it's too late.

Štěpánek has been Slovan's best friend this season so far. He also gave us the win over SKA.

My cable TV broke down tonight, so gotta watch the Czecho-Slovak derby with a Russian commentary via SopCast. Never mind.

PS: So is this the new KHL single-game attendance record or not?

Slovan leads 3-1 after first, also clearly overshot Lev 12-6.

Would be a lot more intense, still, in Sparta vs. Slovan. If Sparta was playing, they wouldn't let so many Slovan fans into their own arena, let alone dominate in it.

An entertaining game so far. The arena seems to be packed with Slovan, where are all the Lev fans? No love for the new club in Prague?

true, Prague´s team was always Sparta. Slavia is still relatively new on top stage.

Russian announcer criticizes Janus for the 2nd allowed goal, but that was a clear assist by Sersen... Quite a few gaffes by him this season.

I dont think Lev have that poor attandances, they are 5th in KHL and even compared to Sparta/Slavia they have nothing to be ashamed of.

Lev doesn't have so much "fans" as "spectators" -- who are more casual or passive. It's hard to be passionate about an artificially created club, and Lev is perceived as artificial probably by most Czechs. It would help if Sparta played in the KHL next season instead of Lev. Now that Sparta and Lev have the same owner, they can make the switch.
