Found it. I guess I'm going tomorrow since I'm done at 10 30. Hopefully the drive from north campus to FNC isn't terrible
Its not that bad. I don't know if the train will be running the event stop, but you could always park at south campus and take the subway. If its not running the event stop you may have to walk a bit though.
Thanks for posting these. I thought Leino had two really slick passes in there. The first was that tape-to-tape, cross-ice backhand pass to a streaking Ott. Miller made the save, else that would've been a beauty. I think his pass to Grigs was nice, too, but unfortunately it got caught up in Grigs' feet or it would've been a tap-in. Obviously, Leino's shootout attempt left a bit to be desired, but those were two beauty passes. I hope he gets an extended chance with Grigs and Ott. I think Ott's crash-the-net style will benefit Leino, and it'll help to have a linemate in Grigs who thinks the game at a similar level. I think that'll be really effective cycling line.
Interesting to hear people say Stafford didn't look that good. I thought Enroth made two pretty nice saves on him during the scrimmage. Of course, I didn't see the whole scrimmage, but it looked like he had bursts.

I don't think he looked bad, but Foligno and Ennis were the stars on that lne last night. There was a nice point where Enroth flashed the leather and took away a surefire goal from Stafford, but overall he was just...ok I guess is the word.

Yeah, I guess the pitfalls of not being there, especially considering I didn't really notice Ennis or Foligno on the highlights at all. At least they were getting some chances as a line.

The main takeaway is that I didn't notice him screwing up at all and most of the time they were on the ice they were moving in the right direction.

Completely forgot about the train. Wow. The fare isn't bad is it? But I don't mind walking at all. Especially since I'm taking friends from off campus, don't wanna waste gas going to FNC, then coming back to get them back, then going home.

People are going to bash Leino just to bash his contract. I thought he looked quite good in the clips I saw.
The mishandled PS should only suggest that he'll not be on Ruff's early list of shooters going into the season... nothing more.

I gotta admit I was too focused on Grigorenko in the clips to notice much of anything else and will have to watch again later, but there were certainly chances for more goals; off the top of my head, Pominville, Ott and Myers all had chances/half-chances.
I thought watching the highlights that they both appeared to have plaed very well but I only saw the snippets.
Excellent, both of them. In position, confident, challenging shooters. The traffic in front of the nets wasnt as fierce as we can expect from a real game, but given the circumstances they both played very well.
Enroth had a fantastic outlet pass to spring Grigorenko (IIRC). Put it right on the tape and at the blueline in stride. Heads up play that almost ended with a quick goal.

If the event stop isn't running, it's only a 4 minute walk from the Erie Canal Harbor station to FNC: http://goo.gl/maps/CnRQw
As for fares, a standard fare is $2, and a day pass is $5.
Event station is right in front of FNC, and the Erie Canal Harbor one's like right there too. thanks Love that the fare is only 2 dollars. I wonder though how long it'd take from Kenmore to get there... any prediction?
Found the schedule. Not too bad, are they usually on time?

$2 is really a ripoff IMO given the little track they have. I mean, you can travel so much further in Boston or New York for the same or less.
The trains are usually on time provided no weather issues on the above ground section. Plus even otherwise they come pretty frequently.
I watched the Leino and Ott interviews. They got to the point where I was saying to myself, "Alright media, let's ask something other than a Grigorenko-related question." I get that they're his linemates, but Christ on a bike. I was waiting for one of the media to say, "C'mon, annoint him a superstar right now. Please? Pretty please?"
