The whole point of waivers is to send those guys to the AHL. If you pick them they have to stay on your 23 man roster.

The Habs could put them right back on waivers and hope they clear and assign them to the Bulldogs. I think only re-entry waivers required the player to stay on your NHL roster.

I win this one.
Isles might have another Grabner type pick up. Hickey is not top 5 good but he hasn't been bad in the AHL by any means.

I don't think you can do that.

I believe the player has to be offered back to the original team.

Wasn't Brett Sonne supposed to be a decent prospect?

This was accurate under the old CBA. Not sure if it changed in the new one.

Would have loved for the Habs to sign him.

Just so Prust don't have to be the only one outthere.

We have tons of guys like that. I wouldn't mind getting a big heavyweight to play in 1/3 games.

Travis Moen says hello. Yes, I know not a heavy-weight but neither is Prust. Both do have the advantage of being able to play hockey however.

Want some guys who can play a real shift and throw down when need be? Definitely. But true heavyweights are going the way of the Dodo. Accept it.

No tears, only dreams now.

Yup, no heavyweights (though Prust can hold his own against all but the freakshows), but that's three above average middleweights who can actually play more than 2 minutes a game. Everyone needs to stop being so insecure about the Bruins, we never beat them in gong shows anyway.
