I know I didn't get automatically renewed. I had to sign up on my own.

I am normally auto renewed and got a letter at start of year but can't remember what it said. If games don't show up on guide by Thursday I am gonna call my provider.

I got auto renewed and got the letter. I call and cancelled it when the lockout first started. At the time, I just wanted to make sure they didn't charge me anyway.

Question on GameCenter Live: do they black it out when the team is on a national broadcast (NBC, NBC Sports Network, NHL Network)? If so, that sucks since the Flyers will be on one of those networks 22 out of 48 games. Paying $49.99 for 26 games is not my idea of a bargain.

And since I don't have cable, I don't get to watch those games any other way.

My concern is more geared towards the "TBA" I can milk 2-3 pints for 3 hours once a week if need be down at my local but having the games blacked out at the last minute like last year will really piss me off again.
Thanks for the info! And yeah the random last minute games TSN2 picked up last year were brutal. Which is why I am waiting to see what TSN2s schedule is like. I will probably still get GCL but might invest in TSN2 this year if there are a lot of Flyers games televised (that work with my school schedule).

Last year I think I had almost every game for nearly a month blacked out. It was over the top.

I have a slingbox (classic). My mom lives out of state. She watches Sacramento Kings games using one of my lesser used directv receivers. Free for her...$6.00 a month for me for the directv reciever, but I'd have it anyway. The $200 I spent on the slingbox nearly 10 years ago has easily got its use.

If you travel much at all, a slingbox (or like device) is so worth it. Their brand new models do 1080i streams I think...

anyway, waiting for some friggin center ice news here...I'd almost consider gamecenter, but the 24 delay is too harsh for me.

You could watch them 48 hours later though, right?

In Manitoba I maybe get the Flyers feed 3-4 times per year, there were many nights watching where I wish I was blacked out !!! Some opposing announcers are horrific !

this is how it is on CI on directv. Flyers home broadcast only when playing the sens.

Pitt announcers are the worst. Fla used to be bad, but now potvin is in ott.

I have a very old slingbox. When I got a new modem I can watch the sling from inside my house but not when I'm travelling. Any idea why? I used to have a modem and router but now it's both in one box.

firewall in the router could be blocking a port/protocol from external traffic?

I <think> I manually configured a rule to let my firewall allow traffic from that port/protocol. The slingbox setup assistant configures this for you I think...?

I haven't messed with mine in 2 yrs...

I didn't mess with it on purpose! I didn't even realize I had a problem until I tried to log on when I was away and couldn't connect. A friend of mine also tried to connect from Vancouver and had the same issue.

Edit: I think the answer is in this document: http://support.slingbox.com/get/KB-1000162.html. I have to figure it out.

didn't mean any
Offense...I was just saying I haven't touched my setup
In a while so I'm not 100% on the steps
Anymore. When you got a new router you probably have some reconfiguring to do.

When are the replays made available on Gamecenter, does anyone know? The same day, the next day or after 24 hours elapse (I know you get the blacked out ones after 48 hours)? Because if I were to get Gamecenter I wouldn't watch the games live anyway, but would watch them, say, a couple of hours later if they were already on there. But if they're available the next day, then NHL Vault might be a cheaper alternative.

Really? Damn, that sucks. But if you start the stream before the game has ended, you can only start it live, right? Or can you start streaming mid-game, but then get the game from the puck drop?
