No team will pick him up so he will remain in Rockford

I don't know a whole lot about the guy but was never really impressed with the stats I've seen. We have any decent goaltending prospects??

Hopefully to make room for Emery then a trade comes to help the big club.

This is Stan Bowman. He may be trying to do that, but until he gets a big deal done, I will presume he will fail.

Agreed, but hope is all we have. Maybe something like Bobby Jet was saying, a minor deal to bring in Bishop. At this point with the goaltending, it doesn't even have to be a star, just give us someone different with some upside.

34th in the A in GAA. Guy has no future here, may as well see if someone will take him for nothing.

He had a few good nights in Rockford some of the games I went to, but nothing special. It's not a big loss and I won't miss him.

Won't be claimed, hope he is though so the organization realizes we need better goalies at all levels.

Pretty clear to me that they realize this. But that's only half the battle, of course.

It's not clear to me, since they have done squat about it.

Agreed, half the battle is recognizing it, the other half is doing something about it. It's been YEARS.

That's my point...realizing and doing are 2 totally different things.

They haven't realized it though. Emery was resigned at double the pay before the season was even over. No other moves were made. How can you say they recognize it as a weakness when they give the two guys a ringing endorsement and have absolutely no fail safe. Unless that was supposed to be Hutton, I guess that's why they extended him as well and now they are waiving him.

Ya, not that there were much better options as UFA's, but at least sign another back up like Dan Ellis, or some European guy to play in the AHL and give Emery and Crawford some competition and see if it works. But they did NOTHING!!!

So looks like he was called up in order to practice with the big club until Emery got here. Now that he's back, he needs to be sent down and that's why he's on waivers.

He wasn't, and that's not the reason Hutton was waived.

Hutton has to be waived in order to play in the AHL now that there is a new CBA.
