Extending my spending spree by getting a vacuum cleaner. To replace the one my ex stole. Dammit. But now I'll have clean floors.

Anyone know any good bars downtown St. Paul? It's my buddy's 21st and I honestly haven't drank in the cities except for Minneapolis. He's a St. Paul kid, wants to keep it there. Favorite places for a budget? We're semi-broke college kids.

You could just go down 7th by the X. Theres quite a few bars in that area like Eagle Street, Tom reids, the liffey ect., or on Grand Ave. theres the Wild Onion and Billys. I would recommend Grand Ave if you want a younger crowd. At least in my experience that is the way it usually is.

Pretty much this, McGovern's is ok too. There's also some stuff over in Lowertown like the Bulldog, and Barrio or if you're looking for a dive, the Gopher Bar.

Burger Mo's if you want a better tap selection. Shamrocks for Jucy Lucy's.

On a budget? Is this after a Wild game?

The bars downtown usually aren't so cheap, but Lowertown and further down on 7th there are some dive bars.

If you sneak over to the college bars out my way, Goby's got us absolutely lit on $4 mixed drinks that had like double or triple pours. Then walk next door and hit on the cuties at Plum's

I do miss the days where I knew the bartenders at Tom Reid's. I don't know if I ever drove home from that bar back then.

Tonight actually. I was actually JUST at Burger Mo's last night for five dollar burgers. Definitely a better selection of beer, but still doesn't beat an Anchor burger for me... I was thinking we'd start at the Gopher because apparently my dad knows George the bartender there and head through downtown towards 7th and hopefully hit Mickey's on the way back.

Not a bad plan actually. Kind of a hike but not bad.

That reminds me of a pub crawl we tried to do once...started at Tom Reid's, went to McGovern's, then to Eagle Street, then one of our friends drove by and picked us up and we just went back to his house and drank So lazy.

Good call. Those guys happen to be the only cable company I have ever actually liked and I really wish I could get them in my apartment, but they dont have a service agreement with the owners.

Oh, and went to the doctor again today.

Spoiler alert: more medical drama!

DUN DUN DUNNNNNNNN

I'll spill the beans later when I have more time to post. Until then...well.....whatever.

I really like that i don't have to sign any contracts. It's just month to month. If at any time I want to cancel, I actually can without having to pay an extra fee.

I hope everything is going alright medically with you man.

Bartenders make good friends.

Yeah it was pretty pathetic

We were so pumped too, and then our friend drove by in his WRX and yelled at us and we went racing down some side streets.

Short attention span...what were we talking about?

That's actually better than going from bar to bar to be honest.

That's good to hear. Still, having to visit hospitals regularly sucks.

Current Tartan High School (my school) Forward Jake Jackson, who is a Michigan Tech commit, was ranked 143rd in the NHL's midterm rankings. What does this exactly mean for his draft stock?

Well, if it was only north american players drafted he would be taken in the 5th round, but adding in European guys, and there are bound to be a handful of guys ranked after him taken, he could possibly be taken in the 6th or 7th round, but who knows.

hahah oh man I am getting some great memories by the mentioning of some of these St. Paul bars that I have frequented...The Gopher Bar...what a place...I kinda felt uncomfortable there actually.

Goby's....cheaper than all hell. And Plum's...probably the biggest underage drinking bar in the city

Okay, so in addition to all the stuff previously mentioned on this board, I have insanely bad sinus problems in the form of persistent nasal polyps (which are partially responsible for my lack of a sense of smell), as well as a monstrously perforated septum. Neither of these seemed to bother my previous ear nose and throat doctor very much.

I saw a different one today, and after a very brief visit, it was decided that I should have my nasal polyps removed as well as get a septal button installed, provided there is one big enough for my perforation.

So long story short, I will be having my third surgery under general anesthesia in the span of a year in early march.

Boy I bet my insurance provider is proud!

I'm also never going to see my old ear nose and throat doctor again, because this is exactly the procedure I have been asking for for three years.
