If Gally's not there, move Bourque up, Moen up, and put White in.
Looks pretty solid to me, thanks! Hopefully Galchenyuk will crack the top 6 this year.

Dumont

Hopefully Plekanec will be back. If not, just promote each center one line up. I think that's how they are practicing so far.

Is this prust at center thing really happening? he has like 13 faceoffs in his last 2 seasons.

It seems like he's doing well at center with Moen and Bourque on his wings.

Good lines, I like Bourque on the right where he belongs but we have a lot of RW's. Eller shouldn't be on the 4th line though, this is an important season for him.

What does that leave us with then?

Pacioretty - Desharnais - Cole
Galchenyuk - Plekanec - Gionta
Moen - Prust - Bourque
White - Eller - Armstrong

??

If Bouillon is working out on the PP, it makes me thing that we will see this;

Markov - Emelin
Gorges - Subban
Kaberle - Bouillon

Poor Diaz.

I'm sure he's only got those two as wingers because Pleks is out. Eller will take over and he'll likely drop to 4th.

He says he played that position his whole life, would like to see Dumont get a chance there but for all we know he has a hidden Zonopka-esque talent at faceoffs.

My best guess on what they are intending

Pacioretty-Desharnais-Cole
Galchenyuk-Plekanec-Gionta
Moen-Eller-Bourque
Armstrong-Prust-White

Gorges-Subban
Markov-Emelin
Kaberle/Bouillion/Diaz

PP
Pacioretty-Desharnais-Cole
Subban-Markov

Galchenyuk/Bourque/Eller-Plekanec-Gionta
Kaberle/Diaz/Boullion?

PK
Plekanec-Moen
Gorges-Subban

Eller-Prust
Markov/Diaz/Emelin/Bouillion

If only one of Diaz and Kaberle is in the lineup maybe a forward, maybe Emelin, maybe a double shift by one of the top pair defensemen on 2nd unit power play. I expect the PP set up to be in flux until they can find a set up that works.

Indeed. It's just interesting is all. Had he played center with the flames? Or did he only play center pre-NHL?

NHL.com showing he never took a faceoff for the Flames. But who knows? Maybe he'll be quite good.

Could Galchenyuk-Eller-Gionta be a serious possibility at this point? We would basically have the best 3rd line center in Plekanec. Eller has the size and talent to carry a 2nd line.

I wouldn't put him there, obviously. I forgot Pleks wasn't practicing yet. Scared me when I read Prust between Bourque and Moen.

I was wondering if it was your way of taking a subtle jab at Therrien

Great post and a very accurate description of why Laraque was useless.

Showing up for your teammates is more important than winning every fight.

You are right Chara is an awful fighter. He just takes advantage of his size. I can't wait to see him fight the protector of Miller in Buffalo.....he is going to get his ass whoooped yee haw !
