Yep, Tinordi was said to have eaten some magic beans and skyrocketed to 7'2.
Meanwhile Samwise Gamgee had a growth spurt over the fall and is now a half inch taller than Desharnais

Well to be fair, the opposition always behaved like choir boys when Laraque was on the ice.

That would make him even more of a stringbean!

Am curious to see what he's weighing now though, Galchenyuk as well.

If Gally's not there, move Bourque up, Moen up, and put White in.
This ^^^

Although I would play White more than Noke. That is a helluva 4th line. And I think Eller will blossom with more talented but grittier players on his wings.

I don't like that idea. Eller at this point is a big downgrade from Plekanec, Gionta is a finisher and Galchenyuk has a great shot, why not give them a better playmaker?

Doesn't he train greco-roman wrestling & MMA in the offseason when he's not climbing mountains? Make no mistake his punches are ridiculously powerful. If anything his size sometimes puts him off-balance which is the only way anyone can hope to beat him in a fight. The only person who could go toe-to-toe with him and win is probably Laraque in his prime.

Yeah, I'm probably higher on Noke than most here, but he's our best faceoff guy AFAIK. Big, right handed shot, not soft, etc.

I think when he's healthy, he'll be in the lineup as a semi-regular, maybe alternating with White when we need the extra grit.

Plus, Armstrong should be on the 3rd line. He has the most offensive upside out of him, Moen, and Prust.

As a favor to the FANs Jeff Molson should sign PK to a 10 year 100 mil deal...cause the FANs want to make sure our cap situation sucks anmd we won't ever win anything.

He's not forcing Bergevin to way overpay so the fans aren't distracted. Very inconsiderate if you ask me . . . Squirrel!

This team is going to have much more character than the one last year, and I think they'll be tougher to play against.

If Plekanec and Subban make it on Saturday, I expect this:

Pacioretty - Desharnais - Cole
Galchenyuk - Plekanec - Gionta
Moen - Eller - Bourque
White - Prust - Armstrong

Subban - Gorges
Markov - Emelin
Kaberle - Bouillon

Overall, I like our forwards a lot. Moen, Bourque, White, Prust and Armstrong are all physical specimens who can be tough to play against, so they fit into the bottom six nicely. There's some skill there too, with Eller and Bourque likely to pot 35-45 points each. Our top six should be ok, but we might have to mix up the lines a bit to make sure there's enough sandpaper out there on every wave.

I'm concerned about our defence. Although:
- we've got some good puck movers in Markov, Subban, Kaberle and Diaz,
- we've got some players who will make their forwards keep their heads up in Bouillon and Emelin,
- and we've got guys that can block a tonne of shots like Gorges,
there are some aspects of this d-corps' overall defensive reliability that I'm concerned with. In particular, I think that positional play, turnover management and winning battles in the corners will be a challenge. I'm also not confident we have a true rocket from the point among these d-men.

Chara is not a good fighter. He has a strength and reach advantage over everyone in the league, however, which makes him almost unbeatable. But go watch his fights...Any time he faces a somewhat decent fighter who manages to get inside his reach, he will immediately go for the take down. If he tries to go toe to toe with a decent fighter he'll get his ass whooped, he lacks technical ability to defend himself and is a big ol huggy bear.

Watch his fights vs Laraque. Goes for the take down right away.

I can't remember the guys name but Chara used to get his lunch handed to him by a tall black fighter. You are right when Chara loses his massive advantage he becomes a *****.

Watching Bourque do interviews on Habs TV and I really hope we dump this loser. He acts like he doesn't give two **** about hockey anymore he's lazy on the ice and his answers are even more lazier. I think he has has caught Wellwood syndrome he's only playing hockey for the money now.
