i don't see how this is an issue anyways, neither looked nhl-ready at camp so it's not like it was a massive injustice that hodgson got the spot, not to mention the fact that his play improved at the start of the season anyway

Every time Hodgson touched the puck during camp, something great happened. I didn't think it was even close. (really took advantage of the games not being as fast).

Guess I just saw things differently. IMHO, neither looked good enough to have a spot but if it came down to one, I would've given the nod to Schroeder (for the spot that was "available" - 3rd line - I was more concerned about how well the player looked defensively).

This thread on the main boards about fan attendance at camps makes Canucks look pathetic: http://hfboards.hockeysfuture.com/sh....php?t=1322697

I don't know what this team is thinking, no marketing and they're not even streaming anything. Pathetic. Just as pathetic as the media.

That would be great, trade him at an all time high.

I also follow the Sabres, so I get their updates too. Their practices are jam packed, free parking all week, long lineups to the store, instant Twitter updates of everything going on in training camp...

Makes us look pathetic in comparison.

Whoever runs the media/promotional and PR departments is probably still on vacation or just incompetent.

Are the games tomorrow streamed at least?

I don't think the 6 Canadian teams and a handful of the Eastern U.S teams really have to worry about it. As sad as it may be, we are all crawling back like nothing happened. I really wish I could boycott and claim that I won't buy a ticket this season or won't watch as many games....but fact is, I LOVE THIS SPORT! I live, eat and breathe hockey and am so frickin stoked it's back.

People in Phoenix and wherever else need to be persuaded to come back, whereas we are just stoked our normal lives will be coming back.

I do wish the Canucks would have done more for their fans but bottomline is they don't need to, and if I was running it as a business I probably wouldn't lose any money over it.

Now it's nice to have Vandermeer that other teams know they'll have to answer to it they want to screw around with our top players.
This is complete bull. Having a useless goon does not deter opposing players at all. I'm glad the canucks don't have a fighter on their roster. Hordichuk ver.2 on our team would be horrible.

Boston sold out their game in two HOURS! how many did the Canucks sold out? It better be streamed as it would be mistake with the lack of marketing

I don't think his vision is going to get much better though. Really unfortunate. Pre-eye injury Malholtra was the absolutely ideal 3rd line centre.

There's having good fighters that are good depth like Shawn Thornton and then there are wannabe tough guys that are useless in Hordichuk.
