Mike McCoy is the Chargers new HC

Adam Schefter ‏@AdamSchefter
Chargers have offered their HC job to Broncos offensive coordinator Mike McCoy, and the two sides will try to work through a deal today.

Although the Chargers haven’t officially named Mike McCoy their new head coach, McCoy has already told the Broncos he’s leaving.

McCoy informed the Broncos this morning that he is leaving his job as their offensive coordinator to become the new head coach in San Diego, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports.

This just means someone else will answer to the real offensive coordinator, Peyton Manning.

I guess we'll see how this works out. Hopefully the first order of business is revamping the offensive line.

He was even more of a figurehead under Mishandles. I was never impressed with his in game play-calling (you just KNEW it was going to be Tebow on a draw on 3rd), but he deserves credit for installing a scheme suited to the talent in mid-season.

Thank god, this is really great that he's staying in the division.

Peyton Manning didn't get someone a job. The guy coached Tim Tebow and Jake Delhomme (multiple) to playoff wins. And as I said, obviously his stock wasn't taking a hit.
