it's fine if you don't like the deal, but leblanc isn't an average prospects, nor is he a problem prospect. no need to make **** up.

and for what it's worth, i wouldn't make the deal either. not hating on okposo, i just like leblanc's game more than others seem to. and yes, isle shouldn't make that either

In 24 games he has 3 goals, 2 assists.

I don't care about who is in the wrong, in the Leblanc/coaches dispute.

The bottom line is that Leblanc is struggling in the AHL and his coaches are letting him know they are unhappy with him. If he weren't, the OP would not have proposed this trade. Want to throw the blame on the coaches? Knock yourself out.

Average prospect + 6th D + lateish pick for your good player. Please bite.

The only reason why this would be a decent proposal is that the clown running the Islanders might actually bite.

.
snow has traded exactly zero(0) quality/core young players since becoming GM. Your statement makes no sense.

A Habs fan, about to see a health Gomez bought out and seeing McDonagh becoming a stud, mocks Snow?

Tell me, which of the 'clown's trades, have we seen him taken to the bank?

habs fan chiming in...

I like Leblanc & think he will eventually make a good pro, & I'm one of the more bullish believers in Weber's potential to become a good/very good top-4 offensive dman.

but no way NYI even consider this unless Wang is again trying to unload salary. Value isn't so far off as some Isles fans are making it out, but Islanders are already thin on established NHL talent & loaded from a prospect point of view... this deal wouldn't help them in the least.

For the OP's deal... why thank-you, Habs will take that and run.

No interest in my counter proposal?

Josh Gorges for De Haan, Martinek and a 2014 2nd rounder. The values not far off.

Gorges is too important for the Habs to trade him.

Okposo has too much talent for them to give up on him now.

and leblanc had a high ankle sprain a believe so this year is pretty much a write off up to this point.

maybe last year we could have pried him out of the isle, but not this year. Not at least without a first or one of our better young players.

now the guy i would love is grabner, but his value is probably higher i assume?

most fans would consider it lower than KO's. KO is one of our few RH shots and has a shot at playing on Tavares' wing this year. Most have grabs pencilled in on the 3rd line. Besides, its better not to have chances than to miss them obviously

haha

is grabner stuck on the third line for a reason?

moulson - johnny t - okposo
? - Neilsen - ?
boyes,nino,bailey, numerous kids,

knowing he is a 20g scorer locked up for 3 mil for 4 years, I know i sound crazy trying to pry him out of there, what would interest the islanders?

Isles lineup by Doug Weight pre-Bailey injury
Moulson-Tavares-Boyes
Bailey-Nielsen-Okposo
Grabner-Cizikas-MacDonald/Ullstrom

Isles lineup post Bailey injury by Capuano
Moulson-Tavares-Okposo
Grabner-Nielsen-Boyes
Ullstrom-Cizikias-Colin MacDonald

Isles wanted to look at Bailey after his strong finish last year but instead Grabner will play on the teams second line. Given the Isles lack of quality LW's at the moment, and given Grabners ability to play either side, I dont think theyd move him unless he was packaged for a impact players. Prospects and depth dont help us.

and 24 yr old Okposo who's a core player, expected to play on Tavares wing with PA gone, isn't important to the NYI?C'mon.

Grabner is due $2m this season and $3m next season.

His contract(and Okposo's), are very team friendly for the next 1 and 1/2 seasons.

As you point out, the isles have a bunch of kids, so I doubt any young nhler gets moved for picks/prospects.

Nah i knew okposo was important, but i figured he was streaky, or at least for some reason I assumed he was. Also figured he was farther down the importance chain then others, but obviously now with tavares he will not be moved. Didn't he play well with him at the end of the year? I could be thinking things. Never expected them to move him anyways.

probably dont make great trading partners TBH

blame the coach? where the **** do you come up with this ****? i never once said the word "coach", or the word "excuses".

he is struggling in the ahl yes, but so is the rest of that damn team and he was injured earlier in the year. he did great in his role for montreal last year in his rookie season while coming back from serious shoulder injury.

yes okposo is further along in his development, but what else would you expect when okposo was drafted 7th overall in 06 while leblanc was drafted 18th, in 09.

so, any other red herring you wanna throw my way?
