This year in the AHL, Peluso had 5 goals and 11 points in 36 games to go with 58 PIM. He's a St. Louis 6th round pick #160 overall in the 2007 NHL Entry Draft

He could be a NHL 4th liner. His play improved, but not that much of a loss for us.

wow, didnt see him being picked up bc it meant he would have to take a spot on a roster, if im not mistaken how waivers work. Maybe just there to battle for a fourth line spot?

He's a tough kid, not too bad of a player either.

Nope, that's exactly right. If the Jets were to send him to the AHL, they would have to put him on waivers.

And The Blues would have first crack at claiming him.

It's not a huge deal for St. Louis, they still have Cody Beach.

still don't get this move for winnipeg. But a little more fight for the bottom 3-6 isn't bad.

I don't either. I guess technically we have a 4th line spot open with Slater and Thorburn. We could also use an enforcer since we lost glass (who wasn't much of a fighter) all we have is Stuart for a regular enforcer.
My question is, what are we missing with injuries?

As a Blues fan I would have loved to keep him as a call up if Reaves was injured but with Reaves on the big club there just isn't room for him on the roster currently.

A well regarded fighter, not sure how much else he can bring to a team.

No they are related but it's more of a distant relative not directly like that.

On Anthony Peluso.
"A hybrid enforcer type for the new less pugilistic NHL that can play honest 4rth line minutes and still drop the gloves on occasion. Not a "staged fight fighter" but more of a solid fourth liner who can fight really well".

No the Blues wouldn't. This is a common misunderstanding that gets frequently repeated on HFB for some reason.

Peluso is a redundant player with Reaves already on the Blues roster, and he's similar enough to Glass to replace him in the Jets lineup.

I like the move for us. Probably means Machachek is headed to St Johns.
