Boy was I wrong, and in this instance I am more than happy about it.
I think this shows Zajac's loyalty is to Lou and the Devils. EIGHT years. Wow. And for 5.75 per? Not bad for a first line center, awesome news all around. Now we just need Lou to grab us another forward and we'll be golden.

After reading his - going home and playing for the home team - comments about Parise I thought he was gone. But its happy time now.
blown away. i was not expecting lou to break protocol and do this. i hope this trend continues when the need arises again. i was expecting travtrav to be gone so i am pickled tink hes still here. oh yeahhhh
It kinda was expected since:
A) we couldn`t afford to lose him.
B) Lou`s schedule will be crazy this summer no matter what happens.
He HAD to break the rule. Now I`m hoping he`s working on a trade.
I feel bad for saying screw Zajac, sign Getzlaf the other day now! I love this deal! I was under the impression he would test the market. I wasn't so worried he would go to Winnipeg, but was worried he would leave somewhere else. Would be nice to get Clarkson locked up, but for now I'm still just taking this deal in!

Well after Zach took the shape of an eagle and Suter took to water, that left Zajac to carry the damn bucket and he had seen enough.

Great signing. A bit jelly- Koivu should have been resigned for less- more like Zajac's contract. It will be interesting to watch him play with Kovy w/ top minutes.
