Availabe: Brian Strait, Robert Bortuzzo and Ben Lovejoy.

Looking for: Top-6 winger and top-4 D-man.

Shouldn't be too hard to pull those moves

youd have to give up more than that for a top 4 dman considering they are of high value

Not really. Stewart has shown up to camp in great shape and everyone is saying he looks much better than last year. He apparently came of age this offseason and re-dedicated himself to the game.

The Blues aren't going to give up on a 24-25 year old power forward that put up 28 goals in each of the two seasons before last year. It would take a heckuva return to get him. Everyone in St. Louis is interested to see the new and improved Stewart.

Ian Cole is certainly available for a top 4 d-man, though. Cole has a spot in St. Louis this year but the Blues need someone to pair with Pietrangelo. Cole isn't quite ready for that responsibility. He is slated to pair with Shattenkirk and that is a bit too much youth and defensive uncertainty for my liking.

Kings:
Richardson
Stewart
Loktionov
Muzzin
Bernier(although probably not early in the season)
picks

We need a bottom 4 dman to replace Mitchell while he's injured.
A backup if Bernier is getting traded.

Edmonton Oilers:
- Linus Omark
- OKC forwards (e.g. VandeVelde, Rajala, Coronet)
- Later picks (5-6)

Needs:
- Depth defenders (6-7, preferably with NHL experience.)
- Minor league defenders on 2 way contracts (injuries/illnesses have decimated their defense)

Edmonton picks 2nd on the waiver wire - they'll likely see what comes available as teams cut to roster size. I wouldn't be shocked to see Adam Pardy as an Oiler to start the season.

I wouldn't mind Pens grabbing Ryan Wilson from you but since he's being paired with EJ and you'd most likely look to upgrade him there just isn't a way to do that.

So you would only trade Emelin... for a player exactly like Emelin? Whats the point in including him in the "available" group then? I'd give more than that initial offer but if what youre saying is accurate theres no point in making him available.

Unfortunately, the D who were just signed or re-signed this offseason are unlikely to be traded this year.

So, Hejda, O'Byrne and Barrie/Elliott are probably the available ones.

The Avs need a top pairing LHD to play with EJ.

Not giving up on ROR yet though, but that could change.

What has changed with ROR? 3 weeks ago, Avs fans wouldn't trade him for anyone short of Crosby! Has the contract dispute really hurt his standing THAT much?

Thanks in advance!
