Strait is NHL ready and he'll likely be a steady contributor somewhere, if not Pittsburgh, but Lovejoy has little to no value. With Ottawa being depleted on the blueline as it is, they're not going to move one of their better defensemen for a potential 5/6 and a 7th.
If they waited a little while, they could just claim Lovejoy off of waivers.
Sens need Gonchar, ask again at the deadline. If we're out of the playoff race then the asking price should be pretty low. Not sure what teams would offer but i'd settle for something as low as a 3rd or 4th round pick.
I doubt the Sens will be trading Gonchar this season until the trade deadline & only then if they are out of the playoff race. If not, they will likely keep him & let him walk at the end of the season when his contract is up.
