TO NSH: G Jonathan Bernier
TO LA: C Lukas Sutter, LW Andrei Kostitsyn, G Dan Ellis, Chicago 2014 2nd round pick
Pricey, but we are hoping bernier can grow into a solid starter, and with the additions of datsyuk, Nash, heatley, and Kane in this season we feel we could afford to lose kostitsyn and it frees up a little cap space for us going into the offseason.
TO COL: C David Krejci, D John Moore, RW Tomas Kubalik, MIN 2014 1st rnd pick, BOS 2015 1st rnd pick
TO BOS: C Matt Duchene, LW Jamie McGinn, D Duncan Siemens, D David Schlemko
Confirmed. Colorado is proud to welcome John Moore, David Krecji, and Tomas Kubalik. We didn't want to part with any of the players on our roster, but a dynamic shake up was needed in order for Colorado to have a successful future.
The Columbus Blue Jackets are making final adjustments for their playoff run. We are extremely proud to welcome one of the most exciting players in the game Martin St. Louis
To Tampa Bay: Jason Demers, Brenden Shinnimin, Columbus 2014 2nd, Ottawa 2014 2nd

Tough battle in the west this year, I feel St. Louis will be a big boost. Salo can replace Demers for this year and the team should be solid on D going forward with Edler, Kronwall, Faulk, Gormley and Murray.

It was definitely an offer I couldn't refuse, Kositsyn addresses some depth issues on my second line and fills in the void for Alex Semin who is out up until the final week of the season. Fills the need for both teams.
The predators have decided to go all in on Jonathan Bernier. We believe him to be the future of our franchise. We would like to thank Corey for his season here and putting us in position for a playoff push. This is a gamble for us, but one we are willing to take as we believe jonathan will be the stud goalie we have been looking for since dealing away Pekka Rinne this past off season.
Edmonton has been looking for an upgrade in net all season, and unable to land one. Lucky for both teams that we were able to move Crawford at this time, giving the oilers a slight upgrade between the pipes, and possibly a goaltending tandem in oil country. We would like to welcome Magnus into the organization and hope to slot him in the 2nd line to fill the void left by kostitsyn. Lets start the playoff Rush!!

My thinking on this trade is that I'm completely out of it this season, St. Louis and Salo are both 38 and 39 respectively and take up a lot of cap space for me that I just cleared.
I also added two young players, Demers can fit in right away once he's healthy, and Shinnimin has a lot of potential in the next season or two. Then I got 2 2nd rounders on top of it, which just adds to my potential for the next few seasons.
Lightning are building for the future, Jackets are building for this season. That simple.
