If that's the case could always implement a max $ offer. For instance, 3M over what the player is asking. But I suppose that'd be alot of policing and maybe more extra work then it is worth.
Thats what I was thinking...its really stupid and unrealistic that we cant trade a ''franchise player" and MUST make our back up play min of 10 games and all that but yet here comes UFA and lets offer 10m for an 80 ovrl player just bc i can...not even if i were able to do that i wouldnt because its dumb and UNREALISTIC and since i joined this league it was all about having fun and being as realistic as possible..
I wasn't explicitly calling you a jackass or anything, but it would take pretty purposeful action to offer a player 3M over his asking price, especially after a rule is set against it (if something like that does happen). different from the game signing every player you make offers to, even if it puts you far above the cap.
Santillo stop being sore about me blocking your Rinne trade.
I'm addressing free agency next offseason. We'll all be talking about it over the course of the season
Im not being sore if you read carefully I was saying ur making it more realistic lol which UFA should be as well because all u have to do is sign every guy for a lot of $$ on 1 yr deals and than the next season can keep them for a lot less..its like a cheat
