1) There is much more to offense than scoring goals.
2) There is much more to hockey than scoring goals.
3) This is a terrible way to evaluate who's a good goal-scorer.
Yup, thank you. Since a defensive forward scoring 30 goals, is better than Hemksy who did not score 30 or is a defensive forward. Also, our 2 players havee way better contracts also
I'd rather have Nick Schultz than Gunnarsson and I'd rather have Hemsky than Kulemin. I'm sure the Leafs fans have it the other way which is fine but trust me, the Oilers wouldn't do this.
Again, you and fellow fans keep saying this and in regards to Hemsky atleast there is merit to that claim, however, give me one good reason to choose Schultz over Gunnarsson... Is it because hes older? Worse defensively (youll probably argue this one but i already provided statistical proof)? More expensive? or worse offensively?
Lol at well known. It's "well known" that 6 is more than 5. When you're talking about something as subjective as defensive defenseman, I don't think you can say "well known" with a straight face.

Gunnar > Schultz
Hemsky > Kulemin (when healthy, which isn't very often at all....)
No matter what argument you have or how many points he scores in the past, present or future...he will always be considered a band-aid on this forum. You won't find a fanbase happy trading a 2nd round pick for him.
To Leafs fans:
While it needs to be noted that I like Carl Gunnarson and would be thrilled if the Oilers were to acquire his services, there is a reason why the Leafs gave up the second-most goals in the NHL last season.
Now I'm not pinning that on Gunnarson, but perhaps the defense wasn't as solid as some would have you believe. So please don't delude yourselves into thinking the Leafs would be fleeced in this deal.
Hemsky and Kulemin are basically a wash. Both have high potential for rebound years after s**tting the bed last season. If there's a trade to be had here, this would probably be it.
Kulemin is 230 pound tank and a proven 30 goal scorer! and Gunnarsson is a great top 4 D.
Very silly proposal offering table scraps.
LOL at Kulemin being a proven 30 goal scorer, hes broken 20 goals ONCE, where he shot a ridiculously high shooting %, and it showed next season when he scored an astonishing SEVEN goals, he has never even broken 60 ponts. Hes hardly a 2nd line player.

Why dont you trade us for Connolly? He hit 65 points three seasons ago If we should like Hemsky, you should definitely like Connolly.
