What your team proposes if a deal can't be achieved with Benn/ROR/Subban

Oilers:

To DAL:
Sam Gagner, MPS, 1st 2013
To EDM: Jamie Benn

To FLA: Sam Gagner, 2nd 2013 (or just a 2013 1st)
To EDM: Dmitri Kulikov

To COL: Sam Gagner, Magnus Paajarvi, 3rd 2013
To EDM: Ryan O'Reilly

Can't really think of a deal MTL would take for Subban from Edmonton...

Wow, Gagner sure is popular.

Oh, and a hearty laugh from the entire Stars fanbase. Yikes.

If we can't sign O'Reilly, I think Kulikov might be a good option for the Avs.

Is Tambellini just trying to burn bridges here or what's going on?

Yakupov is interesting from a Habs point of view, just the fact that him and Galchenyuk could turn out to be Montreal's 1st line with Pacioretty for the future.

But Subban is key to success for the future. The Habs are adding pieces each year that you need to complete a core for a contender.

C - Alex Galchenyuk
W- Max Pacioretty
D - PK Subban
G - Carey Price

A franchise player possibly at every position.

Just Subban to Edmonton just don't seem likely right now.

probably get flamed from both sides for this, but just to throw it out there.

To Col

Edler

To Van

O'Reilly + Elliott

Canucks fill a 2nd line center hole who can take over the 3rd line when Kesler gets back and also get a local boy offensive D prospect who is ready to step into the lineup.

Avs get a big seasoned offensive Defenseman in his prime to play with EJ on the 1st pairing.

Edler has 1 year left on his contract (but colorado would have plenty of cash to throw at him in the offseason)
O'Reilly is a current RFA.

Maybe picks can be sent one way or the other to even things up.

Never!

The Edler proposition however is interesting IMO.

I am sorry but, Pacioretty is and never will be a franchise player. Decent 1st line winger, sure. Franchise player?

I have no idea where to start with a trade prop for Kulikov. If I'm the Wings, maybe start with something around Tatar and Oullete? Again, don't know much about the Panthers needs. Hard to make a good value judgement.

What I mean is a key player at every position that will make the core of the team.

Pittsburgh....

C - Crosby
C - Malkin
W - Neal
D - Letang
G - Fleury

Same concept to follow.

If we trade Kulikov it will be for an offensive roster player, like ROR.

Maybe throw in Schroeder as well. Avs get the best player in the deal, but ya contract issues. I don't see why Edler wouldn't take a long term 6-6.5M deal playing with a great partner, on a competent franchise like the Avs.

Panthers need something up the middle potentially. Crowded with wingers and centers that should otherwise be wingers.

Biggest problem with this proposal is Edmonton isn't acquiring Toby Petersen in the deal. Do you really think Edmonton could have Craig MacTavish in a position of power and not acquire Petersen!?! Who will run Edmonton's power-play without him?!

Tatar should be a top 9 player in the NHL. If you're looking for more immediate impact, I would do Filppula ++

Really like Kulikov.

But Benn will be shipped for Sam Gagner? You really expect to get BENN and not give up one of Shultz, Yakupov, Hall or RNH? Hahahaha

Rangers would Start with Stepan + Kreider for Benn.
