Wow, are you okay? I'm a Leaf fan but wouldn't really mind losing any of the above. Hamilton maybe because I think he can be a 4th liner ... but - yeah. Aucoin's veteran presence would be replaced by Ranger.
mottau and scott are not that big a deal. mottau though we could use his presence for depth right now.
hamilton's our captain, and i've become quite the fan of his from following the marlies. also like you said he could be a decent 4th line call-up if we need him.
aucoin is a great veteran for a forward corps, and one of the most succesful AHLers in recent memory. gaining him was fantastic seeing as we are Calder Cup contenders. Losing him would really hurt. Plus he'd be an arguably even better call-up in a pinch than Hamilton and more suited for 3rd line roles. Hell, he played with Ovechkin for a bit last year when the Caps needed him. 11 pts in 27 games in the NHL isn't too bad for a journeyman.

Personally, I'd like to see the Leafs claim Boucher... it'd be a real low risk play, and he was awesome in Philly.
I actually thought the Leafs should have given Carolina a call about trading for him after he was sent back to Philadelphia. If he was available I don't see why the Leafs didn't make a move for him. They could end up claiming him, which could have been what they wanted to do all along as it wouldn't cost them anything.
I think they should take a hard look at him. If they need a steady veteran backup, which Boucher is, he can be had for nothing and he's really cheap and isn't signed next year. Gives Scrivens more time with the Marlies and could be a good presence for Reimer.
So are these players on waivers to play in the AHL or the NHL?
Why are players that were in the AHL already being placed on waivers?
Redden needed to be waived before he could be bought out. Thats just part of the process. The others were probably up for camp without much fanfare, and now that the week is nearing an end, being sent back down to their AHL clubs
