No chance Subban lands Eberle. One is known for being a clutch player, has a great attitude, damn near a ppg player in his sophmore year, and just signed a 6 year deal.
The other is a young physical two way defenseman with great potential. He's also a current hold out, and has had fights with coaches and teammates

Eberle is a legend already. Oil fans would burn down Rexall(and the new arena) if the Oil ever traded him. I love Subban too. But I dont think a deal would be there. I would offer sheet Subban. I could handle giving up the compensation because if we got him we would make the playoffs and more likely. Draft picks would be late round picks. This would make the most sense for the Oil. Just my humble opinion.

would you trade Eberle for Carey Price?

Galchenyuk seems to be the real deal as well! will be fun to compare him with Yakupov throughout their careers.

Thats the way the majority of people of hfboards feel about Yakupov. He is a first overall pick, and is on a completely different level than pk when it comes to talent and potential. Out of the big 4, he will most likely be the top scorer in 2 or 3 years.

PK isn't close to Eberle. The most I'd offer is Gagner and a first. Remember that he doesn't have a contract.

As good as Subban looks in a Canes jersey, I'd still keep Skinner. The value is close, but Carolina needs a guy like Gorges more than Subban right now.

Honestly, as a Canes fan, hell no to a straight up trade.

Throw in a decent F coming back as well - Travis Moen for instance - and I still don't think I do it, but I'd thik long and hard about it. Maybe even a mid-round draft pick going back to the Habs.

Our depth for top-9 forwards isn't great, so we're not giving up Skinner without at least a legit 3rd liner coming back.

Subban would be a great piece for us, but we have Ryan Murphy waiting in the wings to be the next Justin Faulk.

Which is to be expected, considering his NHL debut is on Sunday.

Not really. Sometimes they might not want to sway the argument right from the outset.

Interesting that someone wants to trade for Peter Karmanos, but I don't think that would be possible.

I thought it was Phil Kessel at first.

in the last year, we have added "potential" #1 d-man Justin Schultz, we've added Nick Schultz and just added Mark Fistric. with d-men like Whitney, Smid, and Petry already here, i'd say we have probably addressed our defensive problems for now at least, so i'm not trading ANY of our star players for P.K. and certainly not Nail!
