The Oil Kings seem to be registering a shutout every other night right now. It's hard to believe that Portland has yielded fewer goals.

Oil Kings win 3-0 in the Hat. Third game in three nights. Played in Edmonton Friday, Saskatoon on Saturday and Medicine Hat on Sunday. Gave up one goal in three games. Lazar with all three goals tonight against the Tigers for a natural hat trick. Ewanyk trucked Shinkaruk. Brossoit with the shut out.

Oil Kings back in first place in their division and the EC with a one point lead and a game in hand on Calgary.

PBP voice (and bus driver!) for the Tigers Bob Ridley is a real gem, recently celebrated calling his 3000th game for the Tigers. (March 7th, 2012)

Bob has been doing the pbp since 1970! To put that in perspective, he called Lanny MacDonald and Tom Lysiak's junior games.

That was actually Shmoorkoff who absolutely clobbered Boston Leier with a clean hit. Somehow the Oil Kings got three separate roughing penalties out of the ensuing scrum, while the Tigers got only one, which led to a full two minute 5-3 for the Tigers.

Medicine Hat went 0-7 on the pp.

Travis Ewanyk did lay a huge hit on Hunter Shinkaruk though. To his credit Shinkaruk got up. Tough kid.

Oil Kings dominated tonight.

Yep clearly lazar should be taken in the late first... Please. Still a top 10 pick for me.

The boys are peaking. I've been at te last two home games and they're very good. If Griff returns, look out. I think he will.

I agree, I never understand hockey Canada scouting at the end of the day.

It's simple. Take a look at their head scout and Canada's results since his designation. The. Research a little further and you'll see the Oilers scouting results and prospect pool since his dismissal here. KP is what's wrong.

This so much!! KP is the absolute worst thing that could have happened to Team Canada.

So in the mid-season rankings Lazar is ranked 26th amongst North American skaters. Maybe we'll have a shot at him after all.

Those rankings have zero bearing where teams will draft these players.

I'm no expert, and in generally have no idea what I'm talking about, but I CANNOT see team GM's letting a player like Lazar drop further than 15th.

Lots of character there. Tough as nails and strong as an ox. Something the Oilers are in short supply of.

I liked Hartman better in the game to be honest, they are ranked in similar spots.

I got to give the fight to Nurse, and my computer skills are not good enough to upload the video on here.

Other good news is that Reinhart is coming back meaning our team chances of repeating become a lot greater.

Thanks. Reinhart's and Gernat's return should really bolster the OK's blueline.
