Royals take the 2-game set against PG, improve to 15-12-1 on the year.

Still feels weird having Victoria in the Top-5 in the conference and Vancouver in dead last.

Hopefully we're on the road to recovery from that road trip a few weeks ago that killed our record

Without a doubt, should be a huge confidence booster for the boys.

The Royals have really shown what they are made of this week with maybe their toughest stretch of the season, beating a class team like Kamloops, very impressive stuff, bodes very well for the playoffs, I hope they meet the Loops in R1 this year, unlike last season.

Just wondering, are we ever going to have 1st round NHL picks, or are we just going to try and be a good junior team and not try and have elite prospects, cause it seems that's the way it's heading right now.

How ridiculous has Gogolev been lately? Guy looks like a superstar out there ...

Training w/ Jamie Benn must have done wonders for these guys. 6-game win streak

As for the 1st round picks, gut feeling is that Joe Hicketts can get into the 1st round if he grows a little and puts on some more muscle. I love the way he plays and he's shown he can log huge minutes with minimal drawbacks.

Heard the joe Hicketts is starting to be compared to a 16 yr old morgan reilley. whether or not the turns into a first round pick is another thing. give him a year or two to grow and we will see.

I see the similarities, but lets not get ahead of ourselves.

Joe still has a lot of work to do to become as coveted as a guy like Rielly.

I see Hicketts isn't as offensive as Rielly, but he can definitely get the job done. Much more sound in the offensive end then Rielly was in his 16 year old season.

Whoa, suddenly the Royals are gunning for home-ice advantage for the first round of the playoffs. Hopefully they can hold down the #4 spot as the season nears the end... (although the #3 spot isn't totally out of the question considering how well they'v been playing, and the fact they have 2 games in hand on the Blazers)

They've been on a tear lately, no doubt about it.

It pisses me off that I always see empty front row seats in the highlights and on TV (when Shaw actually shows it), but when I go to buy tickets, there's never front row tickets available (it always comes up w/ 2nd or 3rd row).

I always go w/ my brother and my dad, but my dad refuses to sit anywhere but front row

We have tickets to the March 12 game vs. the Winterhawks. Should be sweet

Darcy Kuemper made his NHL debut tonight in Vancouver with the Wild.

Lost 2-1, but he played well.

Was only 2 years ago he was the WHL Player & Goalie of the year.

Man, I haven't been to a game since before Christmas. I really need to fix that soon.

These next two games are looking to be a grind for the team.

Thankful that Nelson is back in the lineup, Calgary and Edmonton will be tough, Spokane has been playing well so we need to step up as we are currently 1 point behind the Chiefs.

Let's go boys!

Going to the game today. Glad that Nelson is back in the lineup. Was a pretty spirited game the last time Victoria came to town. Edmonton hasnt played for a week now. Will they be rusty or well rested?

Could be a long day for the Royals.

Royals came out flying. Hitting lots and skating hard. They pretty much used up all their gas in the first period though. Very similar to the last time they came to Rexall.

It was all Oil Kings in the second/third.

Pretty good tilt between Crunk and Lowe. Both were cut badly and had to go get sewn up after.

Captain Tyler Stahl blocked a shot from point blank range and went down in agony. Had to be helped off to the room, couldnt put any weight on the one leg. Didnt return. Looked pretty bad. Hopefully he will be ok.

Royals clinch a playoff spot!

Much better than that 3 day period at the end of last season where we we're neck and neck for the last spot.

And we had to play Portland twice.

But anyways, the Royals have a tough home at home coming up. Kelowna is an excellent team, and if the Royals want to clinch home ice. I say we have to step up and play our hearts out.

Injuries are hurting too, Polivka and Stahl out of the lineup, along with Gogolev. Our defense is in question, but I have full confidence in our guys. Fransoo has been excellent as of late, REALLY liking his play this season, not to mention Cote's consistency this year, surprising many including myself. As well as our two 96's Hicketts and Gagnon. Kanzig and Dixon could improve in my opinion but It's not looking bad as it's only for a couple weeks and Gogolev, Polivka and Stahl should be back for playoffs.

I feel we need to get into the #4 or #5 seed, I don't want to face the Blazers in the 1st round again, Tri-City or Spokane sounds a hell of a lot better.
