It's nice having a healthy team finally. I have no clue what to expect out of Riku Helenius this year now that he's the full-time starter. First game against NYI, he gives up 5 goals and looks flat-out terrible. Second game against Florida, he makes 24 saves in a 1-0 OT win. Interesting year ahead. I love my D depth now though, no more mid-70s speed Rob Kwiet on my 2nd pairing.

**** it. Shinkaruk is staying in the minors unless I absolutely need him.

Ennis-Brassard-Gerbe
Stafford-Stepan-Kubalik
Calvert-RyJo-Atkinson
DZ-Jenner-Husselius

First lineup wasn't working and for some reason I had Calvert and Atkinson buried in the minors. Dz has a ROCKET of a shot.. 98ssp just unreal..

howard

Fleury

First off i'd like to say **** you to Howard for his time here in Pittsburgh as he was a complete joke, but I hope he rediscovers his game in Detroit. anyways im glad to have fleury back, he is an elite netminder, and I hope I get the Fleury from 1st season back not the one I traded away. This is also a move DET made for cap reasons.

confrimed!

As pitts gm said i couldn't afford Fleury anymore due to cap reasons.
Fleury at 5 years 8.4 million dollars
Howard at 2 years 5.2 million

Detroit also made this move because in 2 years time our prospect goalie Mrazek will be ready to be our #1 goalie.

This looks stupid but it helps both of us I think. I know on my end it does due to my insane cap issues.

In two years, Datsyuk ($8.3), Franzen ($4), and Quincey ($5.6) all come off the books. Volchenkov ($4.25) is done after this year.

Aren't those all better ways of getting rid of cap space (Dats should retire by then, or come way, way down) than dumping Fluery for Howard?

(BTW, I wouldn't bet the house on Mrazek as a starter...)

I made a decision that could blow up in my face. I don't see why a goalie should make more than 6 million. 8.5 million on a goalie is too much in my personal opinion. I like my decision to revert back to Howard. Thanks for your input though

Just admit that Fluery is $hit in this game and that you fleeced Pitts by sending him back

I think the concern is that you posted a week or so ago that you weren't sure how long you were staying in the league.

As long as the deal gets reversed if you decide to opt out in the near future, I don't think anyone has cause for concern.

But it just looks pretty imbalanced, that's all.

I'm staying don't you worry.

anything else I have to pass through you?

How is this unfair? I'm giving back Fleury and his cap hit for Howard. It's a personal preference, does anyone tell you how to manage your team?

Now if I would of done a trade imbalanced with St.Louis, Nashville or Florida I'd understand your concern but there shouldn't be any.

As long as your staying in the league, I don't care who you trade. That's all I needed to hear.
