Ignoring the nonsense and even the misspelling, why would a fight NINE years ago affect anything?

It wouldn't, they got along at the World Cup like 2 months later....and played together again at the 06 Olympics.

I think people forget that he was a beast during the run the Lightning made to the ECF. It was Lecavalier that saw the best defenders from the opposing team, not Stamkos.

It's amazing that even though he was a #1 overall pick, team captain, almost 1000 NHL games and won a cup, people still can't get his name right.

This. He was the leader of that team. Roloson also saved our ass a bunch.

Vinny isn't going anywhere for now.

Not sure why people are getting all uppity about him. He holds a cap hit that is manageable, is great defensively, is strong in the playoffs, his leadership is great... His only real down side is he's gotten a few injuries and not been above a ppg in 4 years but still produced at a pretty good level. He's probably 1-2 million over paid (by his cap hit average) but overall he's a valuable asset to the bolts and likely will continue to be one for the rest of his carrier.

I would happily take Lecavalier. Yes, he's overpaid, but I greatly appreciate his game.
