meh.. would only work in NHL13 ..
Horcoff is this team's captain.. no way to get rid of him esp after knowing what Kruger\Tambo and even Katz think of him.

I really hope they don't plan to keep Paajarvi up if he isn't playing minimum 3rd line minutes. And by the sounds of it, that line is locked in with Harti-Horcoff-Smyth, with Jones likely pushing in somewhere when he is ready to go.

Send Paajarvi down and let him and Lander play top line minutes with lots of PP time in OKC and let them develop properly.

I agree. In a perfect world, Connolly over Horcoff is a no brainer, but it's very unlikely to happen for the reasons you mentioned.

The guy is small and weak and offensively has been on a steep decline.

PPG player 4 yrs ago > 0.89ppg > 0.62ppg > 0.51ppg

Stay away when a team like TOR waives you.. Wild guess but I bet he didnt show up to the camp in best of shapes.

I don't think he's worn a letter or been in much of a leadership role anywhere he's played, so I'm not sure why you would've expected leadership to be one of his major roles on this team.
This times a thousand. People need to understand that certain guys have "roles" on teams. The Oilers didn't sign Belanger to be an offensive juggernaut. Their PK and FO percentage was horrible. I don't care if Belanger scores 0 goals this year, as long as he helps out in the faceoff and penalty kill department.

Give it a rest guys.

@TSNBobMcKenzie: More waivers: Connolly (TOR). Joslin, Gordon (VAN). Wallace (CAR). Bodnarchuk (LAK). N Palimieri, Dowell, Veilleux (MIN).
@TSNBobMcKenzie: BUF puts Adam Pardy on waivers.
@TSNBobMcKenzie: More waivers: Blunden, St. Denis (MTL). Byron, Carson, Irving, Karlsson (CGY), Connor, C Johnson, N Johnson, Klinkhammer, Rechlicz (PHX).

So, we could pick up chorney again

It's the Palmieri in Anaheim, Kyle, who looks like a solid prospect.

Nick isn't all that good.

If the Leafs don't want him why would we? Where do you slot him in the line up? He's not a shut down guy? He can't check worth a ****.

You need role players. We can't have Nuge, Gagner and Connolly down the middle. Soft as warm butter.

Relax. He's a decent center, a lot better then that albatross of Belanger.

I was first amused by detroit fans arguement about getting Bogosian for next to nothing. Panther fans are now saying soon to be UFA Stephen Weiss will get you a first rounder at the deadline. If he had a playoff track record I could see it,but he does it and he lacks that little something extra that teams look for deadline pick up

Connolly was disgustingly bad last season.

There's no way I'd say he's better than Belanger. Especially as a 4th line center.

as a 4th liner Belanger is better than Connolly.
If Belanger can accept that role, keep winning 55% of draws and keep killing penalties he can score 0 points and I would be happy.

His issue last year was that expected to be a 40 point player and played accordingly.

He isn't better than Belanger in the role that Belanger plays on our team
