My guess, especially with the other guys on waivers, is that Calgary announces three signings tomorrow: Steve McCarthy, Steve Begin and one of Barry Brust or Danny Taylor (Most likely the former).
If they sign LB from the Oilkings, can he play this year? Just thinking outside the box.
Santorelli would be a nice option for a 3rd line. Ran into some back luck last year (shooting percentage went from 10.4 in 2010/2011 to 7.7 last year and his on ice shooting percentage from 7.84 to 4.56). Could be a 40 pt player potentially with nice CORSI numbers.

* Leland Irving...got transposed earlier.
Guess that means that Irving being included was an error.
No, it's because he earlier tweeted "Irving Leland" when the guy's name is "Leland Irving", he's just correctiong the transposed names from earlier.
Erixon and Jenner are cut from the team, but not on waivers, FTR. Waivers occur after so many years of pro hockey (I'm never sure on the number). While Thomas Hickey never played an NHL minute, he has several years of pro hockey experience in the AHL, hence why he had to be waived this year.

If someone claims him, he has to play in the NHL or else Wild have first right to get him back on waivers.
Only if the team that claims him was the only one to put in a claim. I don't know how it works otherwise, but it's not as automatic if multiple claims are put in.
what the wild can do is if when he is waived the second time they claim him (and no-one else puts in a claim), they can send him to the AHL without having to clear waivers.

Karlsson/Irving battling for backup job in CGY. Could go either way so CGY puts both on waivers so either can be demoted if they clear.

Hmmm, this may be true. I am fairly certain that the Wild have a chance to take him back if only 1 team claims him and that team sends him to the AHL though.

.
I know it's very slim, but what the hell happens if both get picked up off waivers?

That seems like a pretty terrible idea to me. If one gets claimed we end up going with whichever is deemed the lesser by the league as a collective.
If both are claimed we have no backup....is this seriously a plan?
