Doesn't bother me at all, just afraid of the luck we have

Lemieux didn't have to get in front of shots the way PKers are taught to do nowadays.

I don't want to see Malkin and Crosby taking slappers to the feet/ankles, nor do I want to see them gassed because they got stuck in their own zone for 90 seconds killing a penalty. Putting them out at the very end of a PK on the fly, however, I'm fine with.

So as an early birthday gift, my girlfriend got us home opener tickets! Really excited.

Didn't even realize until later that I'll be having free food and half off merch.... after last night, seriously considering a white Sutter jersey. Already have a black Crosberry

Risky. Hopefully Shero has a good idea that he wont get picked up

Ugh, let's force Tangradi into that top 6 spot where he doesn't fit. I understand the possibility of losing him, but as this point, I don't think I'd care if Tangradi got claimed. It's almost like Shero won't give up in order to prove the worth of the Whitney trade.

Bennett and Megna will def be the first call-ups for top 6 duty.

I was hoping it would be Lovejoy placed on waivers and not Strait, but at least they're making a good decision keeping Bortuzzo up.

Even if he does, it doesn't affect the Pens moving forward. It's not like Strait was a big part of our team, or the future of it. I did like him as a call-up though.

Why can't he be sent down later? He doesn't have to pass through waivers, so does it matter when he's sent down? Just curious.

I don't think this is about "proving" the worth of the Whitney trade. It was already a good trade with what Kuni has been for us.

Your right he isnt a big part of the team, but he is certainley a capable bottom pairing d-man on a number of teams in the NHL.

I'm surprised they waived Strait and not Lovejoy.

Guess I'm making the assumption that if he wasn't going to make the roster for opening night, he would've been sent down before they would risk losing Strait to waivers.

Hilarious. How many people were upset losing him. Now he can't even crack the Phoenix lineup.....yet he'd make ours?

Of course he can be sent down later, but then it would seem pretty pointless to put Strait on waivers as the roster size is currently at 23 players.

They'll probably keep him in practice to view him all the way up to opening night. And if they do t feel confident in him, send him down. I they do, he'll get a cup of coffee look over a handful of games... Repeat evaluation process...

BB is going to have his chance, not this year but i'm sure after his good camp he left a good impression on management will will find a spot for him going forward. This year with the lockout and the fact that you only have 1 week to get ready didn't really help Bennett. He will be on the big team next year
