Midfielder from New Mexico. It's his birthday today.
Quote:
"Wide guy with freedom ... Good, true wide player ... Great left foot ... Great pace ... Can run all day with good pace ... Dynamic on the ball, great 1-v-1 and can serve the ball and finish from the outside … Best left-sided player in college over the last few years … Made tremendous strides over the last two years ... Very good feet, very good running at you and a good passer ... Can play anywhere on the left ... Can defend 1-on-1... Powerful, not big, but tough and jumps well ...He had a lot of assists and a lot of them were in the run of play ... He'd beat a guy and pick up his head and find someome at the back stick ... He gets assists during the run of play ... Can play on the left and on the right ... Can serve a ball with both feet ... Has a little bit of bite ... Honest defensively ... Presses the ball after turnovers ... Does he have that willingness to track back all the time? ... He plays as a wide guy in a 4-3-3 ... He's a natural lefty but plays with both sides ... Does a good job of using the width and coming inside ... If you want to play a 4-3-3 with wingers, he's not the guy but he's in a 4-3-3 with freedom where he can come underneath and allow the outside back to come forward." http://www.golobos.com/sports/m-socc...h_blake00.html
Okay I read a bit more about him, the pick doesn't look too shabby. He's described as a very fast winger with a precise shot. He's also said to be the best left midfielder in the draft.
Given that we're weak at that position and they got the best guy available I like the pick.
Worst part was about how we are handling Wenger. Hes a young gun who needs time to get acclimated to the MLS but at the same time we played him in many games including our friendly with Lyon. Get real..

Seriously. He was talking as if the only way a player can develop is if he plays every single game. That's just simply not going to happen when our first DP is Di Vaio.
