Because based on the reports on practises, Mac has been playing on the second line with Grabo and Kuly.

KGM is a very good proven line.
JVR-Kadri-Fratin is a pretty high potential line that will be fun to watch. But none of them have proven their potential in the NHL.

Why was Aulie used over Schenn to play with Phaneuf (ignoring handedness considering Phaneuf can play both) when Schenn was clearly the better player?
