Di Vaio and Wenger? We still have 2 DP spots for immediate help.
NDS already said we're hnlikely to sign a 2nd DP to start the season. They might however sign one during summer transfers depending on club position and needs.
MLS draft is a major crapshoot. It's not like major sports where it's almost a science.
I do wanna know why he's not there at the draft.
IMO all draft are crap shot. MLS proved by doing the SupahDraft today at noon that they don't have a clue!!! Wich market are they targeting Europe or North America. I'm sorry but at noon I'm either lunching or working and I can't watch the SupahDraft live. I mean what is the point of doing it at noon they got 50% off on food in a Hotel in Indianapolis? MLS is suppose to be a MAJOR LEAGUE they should make things at PRIMETIME.
I ask you guys on the board : Did you read any feature on players available at the draft? There is so few info it seems nobody cares about the MLS.
Blake Smith. Boring name but apparently he's a very good LW who could be ready.
Read he's good with both feet, can cross and cut in and has a lot of speed. Could be a great fit now and later.
I was kinda hoping for Lopez or Zavaleta.
Me too both of them are G.A. I think they don't count on the team cap and don't have to be protect in expansion drafts. Hope the Impact scouts this Blake Smith a lot.
From a quick video, seems like Blake is an athletic dude. Normally the ones that are able to do backflips (As he did after scoring a goal) are athletic specimens. Also DeSantis said he had most decisive passes in the NCAA, so great option creating from down the wings.
Personally was hoping for Bekker or Zavaletta

Not just with DelPicollo, most of the picks were "unexpected"

ya I saw that video and thought the same thing. He seems to be exactly what we were missing on that left wing. Shifty guy that can put the ball in as well

It might be a good thing after all.The Impact's way is outside the MLS box. I'm intrigue about Blake Smith. He's a left midfield if he can cross better than Mapp and Neagle (should not be very tough) we have a good asset in our attack. I like Mapp he's exciting to watch but is he the best option at left wing for Di Vaio?

Mapp would be good if he were able to stay on the field past the 60 minute mark. His fitness is terrible.

I'm not sure if it was fitness or injury? But anyway you are right he sucked bad after the 60th minute of play. Hopefully Marco Schallibaum will change him for a player who can actually shut down the other team when we have the lead unlike Marsh.
Funny how so called experts here were so off the charts with their picks! As I had predicted, European style of play is really not in sync with mls developement .
