Yes and if the waiver rule is still the same, the leafs get first crack

I don't think the isles pickup Aucoin if not for the injuries.

And Snow has not given up on the relucatant Islander, Vis.
If Vis does come over in 2 more weeks, then either Hickey or Finley are gone.

Hamonic-MacDonald
Streit-Martinek
Carkner-Hickey
Finley
If/when Vis comes back, Finley could probably play an enforcer role as a forward, which may allow Snow to avoid exposing him to waivers again this season.

Garth Snow needs to learn how to be a general manager. The guy just sits there and claims every player who hits waivers.

Could have just taken Connolly instead.

Capitals tried Finley out at Left Wing in 2009.

You're clearly mad we took Aucoin. Do you want Reasoner in exchange?

I don't think anyone is bitter that the Isles took Aucoin. He's 34 and was obviously destined to play with the Marlies for the rest of the year. If anything it's good to see a guy his age getting a chance to play in a teams top 12 and if he doesn't make it he'll be back in Toronto (with the Marlies of course).

He is right though. Snow is building a roster with a lot of waiver pick ups on it. Normally that means they weren't good enough to make their first team, which is why it seems like such poor management. There are free agents out there who could improve the team, but either ownership or management doesn't want to spend the money to bring in these guys.

Holzer and Fraser aren't going to make the Leafs. They already have a ton of dman.

Holzer might, but you'd need to have a lot of them suck in order for Fraser to leap frog them.

Holzer is expected to make it and is on a one-way deal. I think Fraser could find his way into the top 8 by using his toughness.

Damien Cox @DamoSpin
Promising news for a good kid. Sounds like D Mark Fraser has a chance of cracking Leaf lineup. Adds grit, character.

Who really knows what's going to happen after the top four. It's between Komi/Franson/Fraser/Holzer.

I personally see Komi and Franson making the bottom two with Holzer swapping in for some games. Fraser being an injury call-up.

So you're saying that me calling a spade a spade and saying your GM is incompetent is actually just because I'm mad? No, I actually just think your GM sucks at his job.

(Before anyone calls me a hypocrite, I am fully aware of the fact that the Leafs are god awful and that our ownership situation is a total mess. Our entire organization is a dysfunctional debacle.)

And then theirs this possibility

Bob McKenzie @TSNBobMcKenzie
Multiple teams considering options on both. LA, STL, TOR, FLA among those kicking tires on Redden, ANA and CAR among those considering Gomez

Actually haven't see him play in years though.

Talk about over reaction

Again. Isles lost Bailey and JJ to injuries. Both are expected to be out another 1-3 weeks. Aucoin will play 4th line mins until their return

If Vis is in camp, then the isles have 1 defensive spot, #7, open for Finley and Hickey to compete over.

That's building a roster with a lot of waiver pick ups on it?

Maybe Garth trades Aucoin back to the leafs for Connolly and leafs eat up half his salary. Can they do that in this CBA?

I'd rather have Aucoin for veteran leadership.

Unless Connolly's getting top 6 mins, he's just taking up roster space.

No interest in bumping any of the top 6 forwards for TC.

Send a message via AIM to Fire Sather
do the islanders have nothing better to do than to steal every other player teams put on waivers?

Should be some kind of rule that you can only get one guy a month or somehting

Touche. Moulson was a great pick-up for you guys. He's a fantastic complementary top-six winger and one of the more underrated goal scorers in the league.

Nabokov would be the third nut.
