I don't think it was a Wings fan offering Eaves at least not one I have seen around the Detroit board.

Helm is a big ask in just about any package when approaching Detroit. Management and coaches like him as much as the fans, so the overreaction you get around here isn't actually all that far off from how Detroit is likely to react if a team inquires about him.

On the flip side the Wings need to move some depth players. Emmerton, Eaves, Miller possibly Cleary could be had and maybe a prospect. Not a terrible return, but we will see maybe they can get a lot more.

McBain is now the 7th defenseman for the first two games of the season. Not sure how much that helps his trade value...

Tough to say.. Ruutu is going to be out for quite a bit, so CAR could use a top 6 winger; however, that top 6 winger could be Jokinen, if we can move him away from the third line center position, so maybe CAR needs a third line center more than they need a top 6 foward. BUT Jokinen's faceoff numbers are pretty darn good, so they may want to keep him there.
