No way he didn't know what was happening. Way too many holes in that story, IMO. Think he did it for publicity with his friend.
If he WASN'T in on it, he still tried to milk it for what it was and make **** up. Not cool.
Can anyone here tell me if what I did was unfair? Here's the story:
A few months ago, my brother had an XBox that we both played. He played a lot more than me and finally realized he's addicted to video games, so he decided to not play anymore. He told me he wanted to sell it, but I couldn't let that happen, so I decided to buy it from him. But now, he's been playing pretty much just as much as he used to, so I told him that I want him to give me half of the money back and it will be both of ours.
Was that unfair of me? I don't see why it was fair for me to buy an XBox from him just so "I can play whenever I want."
The money definitely isn't the problem, BTW. It's just the principle.

Yeah, if he's going to play it as if he still owns it tell him to give you half the money because it was pointless for you to buy it. Or, better, ask him why he was going to sell it (because he's addicted to video games and wants to play a lot less?) and then tell him "right, that's what I thought. Don't play my xbox unless you wanna give me half the money for it". Not because you care that he's playing, necessarily, but because I thought he was trying to sell it to help himself.
Just got off work. Feel kind of bad. Gave the final delivery to the dishwasher because it was in the crack houses and definitely didn't want to go there at 10pm. Dude doesn't speak English that well. I'm going to wait in the parking lot until he returns.

I'm of the opinion that he knew about this fake girlfriend all along. It was a ploy used to get some Heisman votes and national media coverage.
Either that or he's gay and used the girl as a cover.
