No one knows. He is getting a $10 million check from the Canadiens. No discount for the buyout. So if he wants to get his career back on track, money won't matter. I suspect he will just go back to NJ.

I thought Tyson said it'd only be 500k on twitter, if he actually knows anything on the subject.

Who could you mean by Connor Murphy? Chris Conner? He wasn't even called up, I don't think. Plus, pretty sure he's on waivers. Speaking of which, isn't Klinkhammer on waivers, too? Something here is off. We are a forward short.

Tyson Nash is saying the roster is set, so either Sarah is mistaken about Klinkhammer staying up or one of Stone/Rundblad has been sent down as well. I'm gonna go with what McKenzie said about Klink, and assume we're carrying 8 D to start the year.

Given that it's only a 48 game season, that's close to fair. I'd go as high as 1m (actual dollars, which is roughly 1.75m on an 82 game).

Even so, we are a forward short. 2G, 8D, and only 12F (eligible F, anyway, as Torres is ineligible). So, Bissonnette gets a starting roster spot and we carry no back-up, 13th forward? That can't be accurate.

Don't see us carrying 8D, however talented they are. Rotating 3 guys through 1 spot is not something Tippett would be interested in.

Alexandre Bolduc! Right? Must be. They called him up on Jan.13th and haven't sent him down, have they?

Rundblad and Stone are both waiver exempt and don't have to go through waivers. The Coyotes can wait to reassign them until the last moment.

Looks like it.

Sarah McLellan ‏@azc_mclellan
Rosters don't have to be finalized until tomorrow afternoon. With Lombardi, one spot open. My guess it goes to Stone. Again, my guess.

Normally Schlemko would have been traded if he lost his spot to Stone, allowing us to carry Rundblad as the #7. But with the condensed season, they want roster continuity, especially on the back end. Next year will be very, very interesting roster wise.

I hope Bolduc can stick in the lineup, I really liked him when he was playing with the Moose in the AHL.

The maximum roster is 23 players right? We theoretically could keep 8 defensemen 13 forwards and our 2 goalies, so I wouldn't be surprised to see Stone and Rundblad stay.

Any chance the PK Subban mess in Montreal could work to our benefit should it not get resolved anytime soon?

Oh who am I kidding?

Now that former #Habs C Gomez is a UFA, @TSNBobMcKenzie cites Canes, Ducks or Sharks as teams potentially interested in his services.

I was thinking of doing some sort of package for package deal that could also land us another player on offense. Just one of my moments where I think we could take advatage of another teams misfortune. Oh well!!

I see. Like Montreal/Subban play hardball and sit out the year, we give up a package of D to strengthen their resolve and gain leverage, they give us a scorer in return, kind of thing? I can dig it.
